if they can actually distribute enough beer that is ends on in bars and in stores, then yeah. if not, then no

Not that exciting. Just cool to be able to tick Duet and Nelson without having to trade.

Anyone go to Lord Hobo last night? How was it? Any idea if they will still be on tap tonight?

With so many bad and mediocre East Coast breweries how isn't it exciting to get a potentially top tier option in to town?

I went last night and it was packed. All the Alpine beers were very good, except maybe the Irish red, but I almost never like Irish Red. Nelson kicked while I was there. I would imagine some to be available today.

Hoppy Birthday/Nelson > Alpine Ale > Stout > Duet > Irish Red The best top two reminded me a lot of Trillium.

Hoppy Birthday was my favorite, a good bit better than Duet.

So you name some of the best to somehow try to debunk my statement? There is more mediocre/bad craft locally in NE than there is good. And less truly top tier breweries than any of the other categories. Adding in beer shipped into NE, the equation remains the same and probably skews even further to the bad end.

These are all awesome, but with the exceptions of Trillium, Wormtown, Allagash, and MBC, none of these are on draft in MA. I can't say I'm as excited about Alpine coming to MA today as I would have been 18 months ago, but that's mostly on account of the world-class IPAs/DIPAs that are coming out of Trillium every single week.

Lord Hobo still has all but Nelson on tonight. There are back up kegs of many of them to keep it flowing through the weekend.
