Chicago/South Loop tasting group

March 21st is not doable for me. :-(

 

Yeah I grabbed the plum fruitstand (I think) and the Eastbank along with a Saison. As you probably know, they only open to the public once a month so I was lucky to have a meeting scheduled with him. The Fruitstand was not even ready to sell yet but he corked and caged one for me anyways. Great guy!

 

Any word on an alternate venue for the 7th?

 

I'm curious about the 7th too. I've got plans, but depending on times, I might be able to drop in for a sample or two. @AndyEdgar, you are in the South Loop, right?

 

Turns out the shower was 2/21. I'm all in for 3/21 if we end up sticking with that date.

Since I'm going to be up in MKE this weekend, I figured I'd offer my mule-ing services to anyone planning on coming on 3/21. I'm going to be grabbing some Enigma for myself, possibly some Scream, and as always, will be on the lookout for TG beers since they recently upped their distro to the MKE metro area. cash or trade on the 21st.

 

Was just in Madison on Tuesday, Enigma is still around for sure. I grabbed the last 2 4-packs on the shelf at Woodman's but later saw an abundance at a random gas station near Janesville. Their newest addition is Hopster, a nice hoppy German style hefe. Worth grabbing. Also picked up some CW Space Ghost, they had plenty left at Woody's. Happy hunting!

Not sure if gentiles has it or if someone wants to bring one but a 2015 behemoth would be a nice reference point for the vertical. I never made it down there before it sold out...

 

Afraid I'm out for this round. Way overwhelmed with work and school at the moment and can't really afford to spend an afternoon inebriated

 

@Makubex, No problem. You also don't have to stay the whole time if you just want to pop in for a taste of something new. And there will be plenty of other bottle shares in the future...
