Reindeer Tears - buffalo brewery

I don't know about other case amounts, but last night D&Q tweeted they would have 12 BOTTLES for today

 

A rep told me Specs Midtown got 14 cases. I've struck out on trying to find it elsewhere and am not driving all over town. I'm disappointed Midtown did a 2 bottle limit. We've hashed this out many times on BA but it would be nice if you could get a beer and not have to take off work to get it.

 

just think of how much they probably held back for black friday.

Is there a place around GB Airport that might have this? The GF is down there at the moment picking a friend up...

I talked to the Buffalo Bayou staff that was on hand at Spec's this morning.

Spec's got 40 cases of this. 20 cases was the entire yield from a barrel that Spec's provided for Buffalo Bayou. That batch was given a different wax color (red) and Spec's is holding for an unkown amount of time. There were 60-70 cases of black wax which was from other barrels that Buffalo Bayou purchased themselves. They sold 20 cases of that batch to Spec's as well. Spec's released 14 cases of that and held back 6 cases for God knows what. There were approximately 20 customers in line at 10 when the store opened that didn't get any bottles, even though Spec's had bottles in the back that they are probably saving for Black Friday. Rassul from Buffalo Bayou was passing out cards to customers, apologizing and saying he would help them track down bottles at his other accounts, all while Spec's was sitting on 6 cases in their store and another 20 in a warehouse.

So, to summarize, Spec's got 40 cases total, chose to only release 14.

 

Oh, also, Buff Bayou confirmed that Spec's was the only location to get more than one case. Every other account got 1 case max.

No lie, the bottle we just opened is somewhat sour. As if it was brewed with fruit.
