I may be bringing a friend as well.

Glad to see you are making it Hunter. Eric is coming as well.

@shuggy I look forward to those bottles

If my trade arrives in time I can swap out a Maple Bacon Coffee Porter for one of the other bottles if folks are more interested in trying it.

Well I was really disappointed that I missed them the first go round.

On a serious note though, is there any interest in a sizable Dark Lord vertical?

I think there would be interest in it.

I'm sure there would be interest based on what it is but it'll be 8 bottles at 15%. I'm sure there is likely to be quite a few other high abv beers there so I'm wondering if this will be a bit much given the situation.

    That would get rough.

Exactly. I just traded my extra '13 but If somebody could bring one I'll bring a '12 & '14 to do a mini vert instead of the whole lot.

OK i am in for sure. I just added what i can bring on the google doc. One i can bring is The Bruery Sucre but this is 16% ADV. With everything else thats going to be there this could be a little much. Let me know your thoughts. I could replace that with a 2009 Chimay Red instead if you guys prefer.

As for a bottle swap i have 1 bottle each of FFF Moloko and Backmasking. As well as Black Butte 26, and some Blithering Idiot from 2013 if anyone is interested.

Glad you can make it @Slayer213. I say to bring the Sucre, I still haven't tried that one. Your bottles for the swap all sound good to me.

Unfortunately, it looks like I'll be working that night after all. I may be able to stop by for an hour before work, but definitely won't be able to stay long (or drink much).

If this is something people are interested in doing, I'm EXTREMELY interested in it happening this weekend when I won't have to participate.

I'll be stopping by and will bring something good. Shouldn't be difficult keeping the bottles at proper temps, as they may let us use a fridge. I remember at the last Beerhive bottle share most of the stuff was really warm by the end of it (obviously)... which may be fine for some styles but not all.

This should be a great time! Since there were something like 25 people at the last event, rations were very small, and we had to continuously open bottles to get through everything.

Glad you are making it @Cat-Licks. We walked into the Beerhive together at the last tasting.

@london1o1 that sucks you now have to work. We'll be sure to save the Dark Lord vertical for when you are around.

We can pair it up with his Eclipse bottles and have a shitty stout fest.

In all fairness I do not have the Dark Lord disdain most do. I also do like the Eclipses, just not at their price tag.

Dark Lord is mediocre at best. The Eclipse beers are overpriced thin watery garbage.

I think you misunderstood. I definitely would prefer that you do the dark lord tasting when I'm not around. I've had plenty of DLs in my day -- would definitely rather try new stuff given the option.
