Good lord, so much this. I ended up skipping the Twisted Trace for another cup of Angel.

I'm enjoying the surprising reviews. I think I know what my 3 tasters will be tonight to start. BA goodness is in my near future.

From my flight yesterday, I would rank them 1. Buffalo Bock (very good), 2. Foolish Angel (good), 3. Twisted Trace (pretty good). Project 3106 likely will blow them all away if it's as good as it was last year.

4 (not 5) oz. pours on the flights, by the way; 12 oz. pours for the standard servings.

Today I had a sampler of the Manhattan Reserve, Buffalo Bock, and Twisted Trace and a full pour of the Angel's Envy and I would have to agree with islay, the Buffalo Bock was definitely my favorite. All of them were obviously awesome - its almost unfair to release all these beers at one time. I'm not sure what it is about the Buffalo Bock though, I'm not usually drop partial to the style but those Buffalo Trace barrels with that base create something magic. In the end the Buffalo Bock just seemed to have less sweetness but still an incredible balance that totally works for me. If islay's signature also pertains to his Scotch preferences, we might have more than one thing in common.

Sort of off-topic here, but has anyone had a growler explode from this year? I follow a guy on Instagram that had one blow up (glass everywhere) and was curious if this was happening to anyone else.

I followed up to ask him and am awaiting a response. It was definitely one of the first 3 because this was earlier in the week when he posted.

Am I the only one that thought foolish angel was going to be awesome? I was surprised when I showed up late for tickets and they still had that one left. Bunch of amateurs buying tickets ahead of me on time

If it was Bryce it's twisted trace. I was at the table when it happened. I immediately had them put my TT growler back in the fridge.

The guys at THB were awesome about it. Replaced the growler and gave out some drink coupons and stuff. His pants were delicious as well.

The minute I heard "Angel's Envy cask" I got very excited.

My flight was served in 5.5 oz mini snifters (I have some exactly like them) and they were every bit of 5 ounces.

Town Hall's Facebook page does say 5 oz. pours. I asked how big the pours were, "5 oz., right?" and my waitress specifically corrected me that they were 4 oz. each and then noted that the entire flight of three was therefore the exact same size as a single 12 oz. regular pour. But it seems she was mistaken. I apologize for repeating the apparent error.

I can see why that would be confusing. If that were the case it would be kind of shitty to charge $11 for a 12 oz total flight when the other pours are, what, $7? They were serving the flights in multiple types of glassware when I was there and I can only comment on what I got, so not saying your experience wasn't different, just relating mine!

Seems like a bad sign when no one is commenting on Project 3106 and suddenly several people are trying to trade their growlers on the forum...

I have heard from a few people that it was not great. So much that can go wrong, or different, with barrel aging. Thought I read that it was the surprise hit last year.

Guess it should be around on Monday for me to try.
