    Banned? None so far.

Are brewers behavior amongst the variety of things involved when considering a purchase? Yes, and the number of breweries where my purchase has less to do with their beer is growing, sadly.

It's alrite, I think you're on topic somewhat :-) I'll have to say, I've been to the Three Floyds brewpub and I do feel like they are authoritarian douchebags... and the bombers they distribute out to stores are often dusty and always undated.

However! Their beer is almost always AMAZING and the food at the brewpub is amazeballs. So I'm a fan after all

I just don't understand it... i really have disliked more beers than i have liked from them, and it wasn't because i wanted to. I loved that they did the whole metal thing, and that they're somewhat local to me. I really wanted to like them for so long but in the end i just don't. They do a lot of PA and IPA, which isnt really my bag (baby), but their stouts dont sit well with me either, some kind of weird hop spicyness that i just don't like, which is weird cause i love a spicy chilli stout.

I feel like this for a lot of beers. It only took 10 or so(5 trades here and a few more elsewhere) for me to realize that there are very few beers out there that I can't get a substitute for here.

Sure, but you had to trade... I'd much rather walk to my local beer store than even think about buying a box and packing material to ship stuff to trade and get something new that may or may not be similar to BCBS.

Their attitudes! Their half ass bottling! When you go to the brewery and you are greeted by some dumb ass who is to busy talking about tattoos and other employees tattoos when you are trying to get a table, its a problem. As for hard to get, well, that may change, they are expanding. Do they still make damn good beer IMO? Sometimes. More evidence , they still think Dark Lord is the king of hill. LOL!!!! Most of all, they can not take constructive criticism, it's so beneath them.

Never been... and i had aspired to make the trip for a long time, but now, having heard from you guys, and read some reviews online i can say i definitely will not. I just wish people from places without 3f distro would stop buying into the hype. It fucks with your head when you hear how good a beer or brewery is for so long, then when you finally try it you don't want to be let down. You're gonna tell yourself that beer is a whole lot better than it is usually. But such is life.

I'm pretty serious about not buying from certain breweries. I will never buy from any brewery that sells out (Goose Island) or files a lawsuit against one of my favorite breweries (Lagunitas). I bought one four pack of Bourbon County Brand Stout, just to try it, it's good and I won't buy any ever again. I used to enjoy Lagunitas, then they sued Sierra Nevada, won't buy from them again. There's lots of good beer out there creating more power for consumers.
I'm a little guy and the only voice I have is my wallet, so I speak with my purchases.

I would say nothing absolutely banned. There are some though that in all honesty will probably never be bought due to my personal dislike of their business practices. Ab inbev comes to mind. I tend to look at a lot of shades of gray and use my very small consumer vote to to voice my disapproval.

I'm totally willing to admit that I sacrifice my dignity for beer. I'm sorry, I drink beer that I like. Elysian makes beer I like. Inbev or not, I like the beer. I don't like Inbev but it's good beer.

I never found any Rogue beers that I really cared for. Most were ok at best, to me. Most seemed very derivative. Idk if it is the yeast, malt or what, but they had a similar taste. After reading about their business practices, I pretty much lost all interest in trying their beers. Haven't had any since. Otherwise, it would take quite a bit for me to boycott a brewery altogether. I have been tempted to buy a bottle of maple bacon doughnut just to see how bad it really is. I have never been able to pull the trigger when I see it due to price. That's as close as I will get to buying anything Rogue.

Do not let my comments about Three Floyds stop you from visiting the brewery. People and places change all the time. I t has been awhile since I have been there. I do remember the food was pretty damn good! Make the road trip and decide for yourself. IMO they can make some fantastic beers, but as someone who has supported them for yearsssssss they need to really impress me again!

I would say twice. Hell with the "3 strikes and you're out".
Yea maybe the first time you had just brushed your teeth or had gum, but the 2nd time is time enough to decide if something is a lifetime "NO" or a yes.

    No ... never.

We've got at least three homegrown big stouts here in Texas that, having tried them all as well as BCBS, are better than BCBS. At least for my taste buds. Karbach's BBH makes BCBS taste like burnt licorice to me ... so what am I going to drink? A beer that tastes like bourbon or a beer that tastes like burnt licorice? I HATE licorice.

But all that being said, I don't knock anybody for buying and drinking what they like, even In-Bev beers. Hell, half my family sends half their paychecks to In-Bev, and I'm not in the business of telling family what to do.

Bombers over $6 that aren't barrel aged or sour are on my banned list.
I stick to it pretty well.

Lagunitas never actually sued SN. They were going to but pulled it after seeing the backlash online. Still, it annoyed me and I'll try not to buy them as long as there is other stuff to try. The thing that annoyed me the most about the whole Lagunitas trying to sue SN ordeal was reading an interview with the Lagunitas owner. He seemed like a total ass.

I was there a month or so ago. The food is amazing, but you will wait a long time to get a table or into the packaged beer room. People line up outside well before they open, and it has given them a very arrogant attitude. I really enjoy their IPAs, but I don't enjoy emptying my entire wallet for them to deal with their awful service. It'll be interesting to see how their expansion affects things.
