status of Russian River?

    My folks are coming to visit and they'll be driving by Russian River so I'm hoping they can pick me up some beer. Does anyone know the Pliny limit right now? Is Younger still available and if so will they fill a growler? Thanks guys.

    When I was there in September it was (1) 12 pk limit. I *believe* I have heard on this forum that it is now (2) 12 pk limits, however I do not know how the transition to FW brewing Pliny while the replace their system impact limits. Younger is not available in growlers.

    Pliny limit? The first time I went to the brewpub I saw a 70 year old man crossing the street with a case of Pliny on his shoulder. It was classic. My father was with me and said "wow, this stuff must really be legit".
    But if there is a limit the locals should be able to fill you in. cheers.

    The PtY (Younger) release at the pub ended on Feb 19th (http://russianriverbrewing.com/). The limit on carry out can vary based on supplies but they should have PtE (Elder), Blind Pig and usually something else. They also do growler fills.

    Younger is not available for growler fills when it's on.

    According to a news report that aired on release day, they (RR, Mrs. Cilurzo specifically) expected Younger to last through Feb 19. The reporter did not specify if that was the actual supply or the distribution (not a beer nerd, the reporter?). No mention of the limits as the piece focused on the people waiting in line over night in the rain. If the P's are in Santa Rosa, why not just pop in and see?

    I'd just as soon have Blind Pig to be honest, I like Pliny a lot too.

    Great success! They were able to pick up 24 Pliny, 12 Blind P, 3 Sanctification, and 3 Consecration! They said it seemed like there wasn't a limit.

    One problem. I don't have fridge space for all these magical suds. I don't think the Sanctification and Consecration need to be refrigerated but Pliny and Blind P is supposed to be kept cold. Am I a bad beer citizen if I put them in a cabinet instead?

    Drink the Blind Pig first.. It's better.

    I'd fridge them if at all possible, though.

    Hurry up and come over to my house before the wife fills up the fridge with useless stuff like milk, cheese, meat, vegetables, juice, eggs, etc! I have room!

    If you don't kill the Pliny and Blind Pig in a month (2 weeks is better) you're doing a disservice to the beer and overbought.
