I actually color code my inventory file, and have things identified that i should drink asap or at least drink soon.

 

I'm around 150 or so and I keep inviting people over to drink my beer... The downside is they now start to reciprocate and bring me more beer

 

I agree with everything you just said, but man oh man... their food is yummy!

Very cool! which scratch beers are those? are they all different?

 

That's what I did today... went over to a friend's house to watch the Daytona 500 (not that either of us actually give a damn about NASCAR but... South...). I took about 10 or so beers over for the 4 of us to drink and the bastard kept pulling beers out himself as well!

 

If you have extra bring it too FWIBF (assuming you got tickets). I still haven't gotten tries Regular Coffee haha

 

Don't know about others, but I know mine is heavily indexed towards stouts, barleywines, and sours. Generally beers that a couple years on them will either not hurt at all or might make better.

 

Seriously, the nerve of these people. We have new neighbors who have a daughter the same age as mine, and he is into beer but nowhere near membership in the locals level. So I've enjoyed breaking stuff out for him, now he is on a long weekend and he texted me to tell me we will drink well when he gets back. Now I will HAVE to drink his delicious out of distro beer while mine sit in the basement.

They are all impending descent. To my knowledge, they haven't bottled a scratch beer in a while (last one I know of was ESB which I didn't grab any)

That is a cruel, cruel hint lol

 

Hint #3: Ive made the drive with my dad to a neighboring state in which my target lives. and it took less than 20 hours.

 

Went to a really big stout share today, but this was the best beer there by a long shot. #VBS

A little off topic....but I saw that Olde Hickory is having a release March 7th for Omega Point - the beer that fans were beginning to believe a myth. Barleywine aged in bourbon barrels for as long as 7 years with the vinatages then blended together by our master brewer Steven Lyerly. Fans heard rumors months and months ago, and have been waiting ever since. Now the release date has finally been announced!

Wondering if anyone may be able to hook a brother up?

The way those pics look, it seems your cold storage is 'drink now' and warm storage is all stuff for aging, but the Major Big Time is a Black IPA (Cascadian Dark Ale is another name for the same style); not that you have to drink it fresh but it's a style that is meant to be.

Also note that the New Belgium Le Terroir, while unlikely to go downhill for a while, will not benefit from aging like most sours will; NB pasteurizes it so there is nothing live in there to develop like there typically is with sours.

I think I figured out who your target is, unless there's pairs I'm missing, but I'm not gonna search harder than I admittedly just did... excel was my friend though
