I enjoy about the first 90% of any RIS, but towards the end it feels like my tongue is covered in syrup or something. I love them, but "chore" is probably a pretty good way to describe them. That's probably why I like BA'd versions a touch more- the added dimension tends to outlive the chore factor.

Sours in general. Sour in the Rye was particularly slow going, delicious though!

Not so with my wife and me. If price were no object (and the fact that we can only get them when we visit my family in WI), we'd drink these two at a time!

I was served a full 16oz pour of Spontanframboos recently that took me a good 45 minutes to an hour to get down. Given that it was a pretty nice event at the bar I was hoping to get through a lot more of the offerings in the time I had to be there, and seriously considered waving the white flag halfway through. It was a good beer for the first couple ounces, but after that I was pretty much done with it and wanted to move on.

I also felt like it took an effort to get through Chocolate Rain and Kuhnhenn Raspberry Eisbock; though both of those are just so damn big that it wasn't a surprise (it also was enjoyable, just arduous)

Ice cold Budweiser. Viscous, syrupy, and just plain gross.

EKU 28, this is a thick cloying beer that makes my eyes squint when I take even the smallest sip.

Molotov Cocktail, from the standpoint of trying to remain coherent.

Generally, from a non-alcohol point of view, anything verging on too sweet is 'work' for me. Big Lushious, Creme Brulee and the like.

Reminds me of an old saying.

I second this. Very interesting beer but a challenge to get through.

This one was nearly a 22 oz drainpour for me. If I hadn't paid $19 for it, I would have left it there after the first sip.

Allagash Saison...way too funky compared to most Saisons i've had...i struggled through the first one then used the rest of them for cooking (deglazing/reduction) which has worked out well

Midas Touch. I wanted to like it so much but the sweetness was very intense. Took me a while to get through that one.

Anything brewed with peppers....I'm really not sure why that's a trend, it baffles me
