Not sure if this has been posted - but Costco has it for 12.99...

All I can say is Surly took care of me for a flat 4-pack when I contacted them. Good people.

Do Costco stores outside the Minneapolis area get abrasive?

That's how I read his tweet; that the last canning will occur in Feb.

The SLP costco doesn't even carry Surly at all. I keep meaning to ask them about that.

I read this the same way - all the Abrasive for the season/year is packaged. However, I don't think this necessarily means that 2/6 is the final batch. I would guess that they recently canned the last of it so we will see a 2/20ish batch, which will be the final one. All speculation and reading into Todd's tweet tho.

Chicago got Abrasive and my 4 pack was flat as hell. I was pretty disappointed. I started a thread about it called carbonation issues and no one seems to care which was odd. Anyway, I emailed Surly on Friday and a gentelman got back to me Saturday morning asking for my canning info and apologized. He was very nice about it. But I have not heard back from them. How long did it take you to hear back from them and how long did it take for you to get your 4 pack? Im just curious about your experience with that.

Surly will not replace the beer. You will have to return any opened & unopened cans to the store where you brought it from and they would issue a refund or replacement.

Will according to an email, it sounded to like they were going to do something about it. I mean, if they don't, then so be it. Im not going to cry about it. Also, a gentleman on this forum said Surly took care of him because of this issue. Is he a liar? What makes his problem different than my problem? Nothing at all. Surly have been more than nice to me about the issue and I will always support the beer they make, but I don't think it's the stores responsibity to fix the problem. The issue either occured in transit with their distribution guy or a mistake happened at their facility. Again, no one is perfect and brewries can't be spot on all the time. But I would like to taste the beer the way it is intended to.

Surly has been taking care of people by sending a swag bag.

If you still have the cans, bring them back to the store you got them from to get the beer replaced. It is the easiest way to do it, the distributor will reimburse the store and Surly will reimburse the distributor. There are probably legal issues with Surly sending out beer directly.

If you're referring to post 882, he states they took care of him w/ SWAG....Not beer. I am pretty certain MN law does not allow a brewery to send you replacement beer. The brewery will do what they can, but as far as refund or replacement, that will have to come from the retail store...That's how the system works. Cheers

I didn't know that at all. I'll be contacting the store tomorrow to see if they can do anything.

Yeah, kinda a round-bout way of getting satisfaction, but hopefully your retail store will take care of you. Sorry to hear about your misfortune, Surly makes great beer & this entire situation sucks for everyone. Good luck w/ things, I hope Surly does right by you w/ your own "swag package"

I agree with what you are saying. I was thinking about ordering some online, but Im afraid I will have the same problem. So I am not sure. What are your thoughts on that?

France 44 has been taking care of people that have ordered online and had the carb issues.
