Anything "boozy," hard to describe exactly what I mean but the beer is hot. It smells hot, tastes hot, and has a hotness going down. By no means are those things always bad but they do contribute to a beer taking longer time to enjoy, which is once again not a bad thing. I had Hale's Ales' bourbon barrel imperial stout last night and it was very good but it was very "boozy." It clocks in at 10% so that is to be expected. It took almost 45 minutes to finish the glass (16 oz snifter).

Bruery Chocolate Rain. Too overpowering, alcoholic, sweet. Granted I had to finish the whole 750 cc bottle myself. But man, was it a chore. I probably won't have it again for a long time.

The last beer of the night, 3 am. I always end up cracking something heady for some reason.

Finish a whole bottle? I dont think you're supposed to do that. It's like a rare cognac, its not really a beer anymore. You're supposed to pour it in 1 or 2oz's and sip'er.

Stone Crime was tough for me...same with Habanero Sculpin, but not as tough as Crime.

Receipt? I am 31... I don't do receipts. Next time I go to the bar, I can snap a shot of the board, if it is still on there. I mean they charge $50 for a bottle of Black Ops

Well then that's a bar I wouldn't patronize. I think bottles are about $8 here, although to be honest I haven't bought one in a long time. For the life of me I don't understand why Southern Tier distributes to this area.

I don't know why I always fall in the Southern Tier trap. Their beers are always over-priced and underwhelming. But it is like my brains forgets when I see something new and shiny

a bomber goes for $9.99 retail... it makes sense to be $19 in a bar... now that I think about it.

I love you DFH and Sam, but Beer Thousand was just too much work to get threw. I actually mixed it with a IPA to enjoy it a little more and to finish my 750 ML bottle.

Relatively fresh World Wide Stout. Harsh stuff- it's brutal to sip through that one and try to tease out flavors.
