Countdown to Juju!

Pretty sure this will have more than one bottling run.

 

I went Friday, and it went smoothly. People started lining up about 15 minutes before opening. Got in and out, decided to leave, realized the semi-truck smack dab in the middle of the drive wasn't moving without a driver, went back in, had a beer.

The line was pretty gnarly when we left, but lets face it. It is damn near impossible to know what to expect at bottle releases now. Sure, Fatheads made more Hop Juju than before, but lots of breweries have dramatically increased production of popular seasonal beers, and still ran short.

 

Doubled production from last year, final batch is in the brite tanks now...

 

Has anyone seen Juju in the Youngstown/Western PA area yet? Other than the South Side Fat Head's.

 

Giant Eagle on Belmont in Youngstown/Liberty.....I just picked up 2-4 packs yesterday.Bottled on 2/9/15.

 

I live in Buffalo, but I was in Cleveland this past weekend. There is one of these in my fridge just waiting for work to be over... (52 minutes remaining)

 

I have a question. Does anyone know how to read the Fat Heads date code? I am sure I will feel dumb when I get the answer, but I can't figure it out. Thanks.

 

I think it is just a regular date format. I believe most of hop juju would be somewhere between 02/04/15 and 02/13/15 and it is the bottled on date. The last number is probably time or batch, I'm not sure.

 

Yep... My JuJu bottles just have a bottled on date, easy to read.


BTW in other JuJu news... "Super Juicy JuJu" is on tap at the brewery/taphouse now. Before, it was just at the restaurant location.

 

Did they put it on again at the taphouse? It went on tap there Friday, but was gone when I was there Sunday.

 

The normal JuJu? As of 2/19 they had it, but it is very possible they ran out by the weekend. Did they still have the Juicy version?

I guess we will see when they update the tap list on Wednesday afternoon... Usually they have stuff a few weeks, so I didn't think they would run out so soon. The restaurant got JuJu again (per facebook today) so maybe the taphouse got another batch as well.

 

I was referring to Super Juicy. Regular Juju was still on at the taphouse Sunday. Super Juicy had run out.

 

Curious what prices people are seeing for Juju. So far I've seen it at either $12.99 or $13.99 per 4-pk.

 

12.99 and I even saw it at the GEs with shitty beer distro.

 

Is this around in Columbus?
