From Town Hall's barrel week beers to CBS... I tell ya, its rough in Minneapolis. CBS isn't everything I thought it'd be, and unfortunately they're selling it only as part of a flight of 3 other (good) Founders beers, but I'm REALLY glad I tried it.

My only experience with CBS is a 1.5oz-ish pour from a bottle (whenever the last bottling run was.... 2011??) a month ago. I'm hoping I'm able to make the tapping at my local spot next week to try it fresh, but I don't have my hopes up.

 

Both times I've had it I've really liked it, but still been slightly disappointed, soooooo..... honestly, it'd be a lot better without the hype of 'Best Beer EVAR'

I've been M.I.A. in this thread for a couple days, just caught up. I guess I owe a hint for this circle full of jerking, yanking, tugging , or whatever you wanna call it.

To be fair, it was @LakerLeith that recommended it to me! If you do manage to stumble across the street, Original Gravity is very good as well, though much more crowded. And there's a ice-cream sandwich shop (Cream) in between...

I really thought it would have kicked by now as well. I called from the bar at Town Hall to make sure CBS was still on tap before heading over. And then stopped by Republic to get a Lift Bridge Batch 800 while waiting on my Uber

 

I'm not even kidding man, this place has an awesome concept. Pick your cooking flavor (probably 8-10 flavors) and pick your ice cream flavor (probably 10-12 flavors). Line out the door pretty much every time I saw it.

 

I think I owe a couple hints so to recap:

Hint 1 - Shipping East
Hint 2 - My target has fewer trades than I do

Also, Bobby's Liquors has Pliny the Elder and Blind Pig bottles right now. Just smile at the old Indian lady and tell her you traveled really far to visit her liqour store, then ask for Pliny.
There are like...idk.. 3 or 4 other (corked) bottles just sitting on the shelf though, as well as a ton of other crazy shit. There was ADWTD sitting there for like $35.. super tempting
