Last year's thread about this was better

 

Is it too early to make the (Pre) Hopslam was better than last year thread.

 

I thought this was a thread about the new Boulevard stout.

 

Might as well start another one complaining about the current years pricing too.

Beer was better last year. I dare you to try one now and prove me wrong.

 

The prices were better last year.

 

Founders didn't brew Blushing Monk last year so I call shenanigans!

 

My favorite Belgian beer, St Ides, was way better last year.

 

This year's Bud Heavy is really weak compared to last year's batch. Had one at a party a week or so ago, and I swear to god, I almost tasted something. I couldn't finish it, had to drain-pour in favor of a glass of water....."now THAT'S more like it".

 

I don't understand how you can tell a beer is better than the other from tasting them one year apart. You couldn't even do a vertical tasting.

 

Nugget Nectar and Hopslam were so weak this year, I think all of us good beer advocates with a conscience should join forces in a class-action lawsuit against those cunning breweries who keep messing with us!
