Everything after Jupiter should be good, so a few more months to go

I would like to try any of them  The only one I have seen on the shelves is Mercury and well...I did pass on that based on all the negative press it was getting!

I'd like to have a tasting session where we go through the entire series, but I didn't save any bottles of Mars since...well, why would anyone want to drink a year old DIPA? Curious to see if they brew it again since I imagine people would be interested in this idea

Had Mercury and Jupiter on tap at Eccentric Cafe Tuesday and really enjoyed both of them. IMO they are both on point for their respective styles. Not my favorite styles by any means but I could see myself buying either one of those beers again if they were regular offerings from Bell's. I would be interested to taste Jupiter side by side with Best Brown. Haven't had it in a while but the Jupiter really reminded me of the old brown owl, albeit a bigger version.

I have been saving 2 Bottles from each release, kept very cold in the fridge the Mercury is not going to drasticly change but that is both an assumption and my opinion after forgetting about some DIPA's in the back of the fridge.

Picked up some Jupiter yesterday, with a full expectation that it will be 'meh' much like Mercury before it.

Saturn, Uranus and Neptune sound very promising.

Hopefully better than Eccentric Ale, in Stout form.

Haha. We can only hope. Also I think the BDIPA will be awesome.

Does anyone know if Jupiter is available in Phoenix, AZ yet? I hope I haven't missed it!

A few people have mentioned the probable shittiness of aged Mars. While I wouldn't discount that possibility, I feel like if any DIPA was gonna age gracefully, it would be Mars, as it had a very high ABV and some barleywiney characteristics to it. Just guessing though, I drank the only 6pk I found quite quickly, wish I'd gotten another bottle to set aside.

Re: Jupiter, I'm not a huge fan of the style in general, but I thought it was one of the best brown ales I've had. Worth seeking out. Most places around here were only selling singles anyway (limit 2), so you could probably pick some up without committing to a whole six pack.

I enjoyed Jupiter. Generally drink lighter browns, though.

One month away from the Saturn release...I have this weird feeling it will be underwhelming...anyone else getting that feeling?

Yep, it's gonna suck. I wouldn't waste my time looking for it.

I had the exact same idea Bell's had—a set of seven beers based on Holst's suite—for a long-term homebrew project six months or so before I ever heard that Bell's was doing this series. Weird.

Anyway, it's a disappointment to hear that Jupiter was mediocre. I also don't agree with their choice of style for some of the planets.

I not sure what people were expecting for a brown ale.

I liked Jupiter, especially since I got it for 2.99 (even though I would never buy more than one at the price). Didn't try the others.
