Anyone seen it in Massachusetts yet? I think the regular Boulevard Imp Stout is one of the more underrated BA stouts out there. Those who dont like tend to not appreciate subtlety!

I would love to see this in the MD/DC Metro area, I really enjoy The Dark Truth. A little more fig than I would prefer but the smokiness makes up for it in the end.

I have seen many of them around Chicago, 12.99 seems to be the going rate.

love the regular imp stout, although its not that regular with the bourbon blending and seems like an unusual yeast choice.

There's a restaurant nearby that has Boulevard - Imperial Stout on tap, hopefully it's still there tomorrow. I would love to see this variation in DC/MD/VA, it sounds delicious. All the smokestack series are distributed here in MD.

How so? Imperial Stout (the barrel aged version) is fermented with a Scottish yeast strain, not the Belgian strain we use to ferment Dark Truth Stout.

I think the dark fruitiness coming from the yeast gave it some uniqueness, and also it seems more carbonated than other versions of the style. I was trying to say more that i dont think this beer is very subtle and has some pretty intense flavors and some unique qualities that aren't found in others vs Skwalk47 commenting it has subtlety.

Our local guy says that a couple spots in SC have received Imperial Stout X - Coffee and that it will be reaching all of our distributors in the state after our March shipment arrives.

Hate to bug you, but has this hit Indiana yet? I've been on the lookout at places that would get it (Crown Liquors (Downtown Indy), Kahn's) but haven't seen it yet. Would like to stock up before it disappears...
