I rarely get growlers...I was charged $35 for a 64oz fill at taphouse grille wayne (just the fill, I already had the glass), is that price normal?

Am I the only person that doesn't really like it, and thinks it's entirely too sweet? I was sick of it after about 8oz.

Yeah I thought it was overly sweet, ended up trading the rest of my cans. Definitely a matter of preference though. Just like coffee. Milk and sugar in coffee is gross to me.

yeah, I usually drink my coffee black...

if I was tasting this blind though...I would never guess coffee as the flavor, just an amber ale. I also wouldent guess 12& abv

    The 12% is absurdly well-hidden

Just had this on draft for lunch at Rattle. Phenomenal.

Cannot wait for the Irish Coffee variant.

I don't enjoy a "regular" coffee.. I drink mine black. However, I was lucky enough to get a draft up in Jersey City a few weeks ago and was very very impressed with this beer. Best new beer I've tried this year so far, easily.

My friend and I sit down at a bar around 1pm on a Saturday, thinking we are going to order Regular Coffee. Ask the bartender what kegs are low, he says Regular Coffee - we each order one, 15 minutes later it is gone. We got lucky.

Same reason I think we all did: Because Carton. I mostly dislike coffee beers but I was graciously given a can from a friend so I couldn't say no Because Carton.

I split the can with my fiancee and she had to finish my portion (instead of the other way around). I love many of Carton's other beers but sometimes a trusted brewery doesn't brew something within your preferred taste spectrum. I love Kane's beers but their one "(Time of day) Bell" variant with maple and cinnamon just didn't do it for me.

Do you know if the keg was closed to being kicked when you were there? I know they did the tap takeover on Tuesday and it is still listed on their website today. I am going to go after the St Johns game tomorrow and am hoping it is still on, but worried that it might go tonight.

Hard to say if there will be any left tomorrow (the girl I spoke with didn't seem to know how full/empty the keg was). However, it is still on as of about 5 minutes ago.

Does Carton have a release calendar? Do you just have to check their events for releases periodically? I tried to research, but couldn't find anything concrete about their can release dates.

    Thanks for the info.
