Yeah not their best beer, more of an extra haha

 

On paper that looks like an incredible beer, how is it?

Having given it some time, now I can taste it. It looks like a red ale but drinks like a hoppy amber. I get some of the sharpness and spiciness of the rye but none of the flavor really (this is not uncommon in rye beers, but a source of constant frustration for me). It's pretty damn tasty but I agree it's not as good as Elevated or Project Dank.

 

I know you haven't @UTvols05! Can't wait!

 

#VBS Went from a meetup with some friends at the local beer store to a pretty decent bottle share. This doesn't have quite all the bottles as the first 3-4 or so we tossed out to make room and doesn't have the last 1-2 since I wasn't sober enough to take a new picture...

 

Great for Mon to Thur brew, I wanted something with a mouthfeel. Was deciding between this and a Moo Hoo, should have saved the CCB for a Monday night drink.

 

Well put, though I don't know you'd have felt much differently about MooHoo, I find that to be thinner than I'd like as well. If you want mouthfeel you need to go Founders.

 

Future looks good for Smog City and their BA beers. This blows Council's BA Pirate's Breakfast out of the water.

I liked it more than '14 Velvet Merkin on a side by side tasting.
