Doesn't Cold Spring do a lot of contract brewing for high-end craft brewers?

Yes, 21st amendment for one. I believe they do/have done batches of Tallgrass Ethos before. @jesskidden could go on and on.

And Alpine? I know there are maaaaany people on BA who are upset about not being available in MN even when some of it's being brewed here.

There's a couple of I.P.A. cans coming from Boulevard (via Cold Spring) for the summer season.

You could ask @jesskidden about Cold Spring and Ballantine I.P.A. :sunglasses:

Hey, no tag backs! (Was that the expression?)

Never did see or hear of the cans hitting the market. Too bad.
Neither P. Ballantine & Sons nor Falstaff/Pabst ever canned the IPA.

High end and not-so-high end; Cold Spring contracts circa 2013 - 2015 include:

    21st Amendment
    Boulevard
    Church Key (Pilsener)
    Deschutes (Mirror Pond Pale Ale)
Finnegans (Irish Amber and Blonde cans)
    Pabst (Ballantine I.P.A., Colt Blasts)
    Redhook (Copperhook cans)
Saranac (F.X. Matt) Rebellion Nitro Brown Ale cans
    Tallgrass

The can collector in me would be happy enough to see Cold Spring kicking-out some Toppling Goliath cans. :grinning:

I am pretty sure that never happened. Green Flash bought Alpine and are doing all the brewing in Cali.

You are correct, sir. Alpine was trying to work out something with Cold Spring in MN, but the deal fell through before brewing and canning ever started. Now that Green Flash has acquired Alpine, "Alpine" beers are being brewed at both GF and ABC. GF hasn't started bottling yet. All the kegs that are being "test marketed" in different states are being brewed at GF in San Diego. When GF's new facility in VA is completed, they will brew, keg, bottle, and distribute "Alpine" beers from there, too.

Wait a minute, so Finnegan's bottles at Summit but cans up at Cold Spring? Why wouldn't they just do it all at Summit or is that because they were canning before Summit got their line up and running?

The Finnegans cans began to roll out prior to the implementation of the canning line at Summit, back in summer 2013. I'm unsure if Summit is now both bottling and canning for them.

I will never buy it in a can.

Unless, I see it on the shelf, then its game on.

    PS Please can Sossus.
