check out "small batch sour" released a month ago or so at Lost Abbey TR. Was tipped off by the taste room employees about what it was, gets a 3.9 on untappd. I dug it though, if it is what they said it was I dont think ill be trading any of my bottles/trade value will be pretty damn high.

 

Did everyone have a hold on the money for the beer in their account and now it's gone? The $170 or so is back in my account. Are they just going to take it out day of?

 

In the past releases I usually saw a hold for a while and then 2 weeks to pickup the money was taken.

 

That's a weird way to do it. Just take it now. Or right before. Don't put a hold, then release it then take it again later

 

Agreed, the first time it happened to me I thought they cancelled my order and frantically emailed.

 

BTW @PeprSprYoFace, it appears that the charge was done on friday and seems to be posting to accounts now.

I have the 8am-12pm pickup window this Saturday - anyone know what I can expect knowning the tasting room doesn't officially open until 11:30am?

Will there be tasters/sales/growler fills?

 

The tasting room will be open. Not sure on growler fills but their board will be open to whatever you want, plus the V015 free taster you get when you pick up your bottles.

Assuming they do the same thing like they have for previous bottle pickup events.

 

Has anyone had luck with requesting a change in pick-up date/time?

 

Best I was ever able to get was same day just late (had morning, picked up after it got dark), can't say I have ever tried for a different day though.

IMO it's rather silly you have to go at a specific date/time anyways. You should just be able to pickup whenever they're open for the next month or two or whatever.

 

It's weird, LA only use to have 2 sessions on a single saturday and there were no complaints. They open it up to 4 sessions over 2 days and now complaints arise about pickup times.

I think we are spoiled by other bottle release windows but really when you buy the bottles it states pretty clearly the pickup times and if unable to make it they are forfeited back to LA.

 

I imagine most people's first choice was to go Saturday. No one likes to take the 3rd or 4th choice.

 

i got sunday AM for 3 bottles. hitting paley fest after so I got lots of driving to do.
