Last release I had a PM session, but they let me pick up during the AM session on the same day. Don't know about switching days for pick-up.

 

I'll be there Saturday afternoon for mine!

What is "silly" about it?

 

Because they're making it less convenient to pick up the bottles than it could be. Not a huge deal and I am going during my assigned time, but it seems to me that the act of finding a name on a list, matching that name to an ID, and handing over a package with 4 bottles is simple enough to be done at any time...

 

Maybe they just don't want to keep all the stock on hand? Who knows, I could see why they would want to just get it all over with though.

I think that's kind of the point. By making you have to get there on one certain day, it increases the odds of a local buying it instead of someone across the country. The two sessions in a day are just to make sure it's manageable.

 

Someone tell me this - how bad are the lines? I am suppose to pick up Saturday from 1230-430. I'm planning on getting there around 3. Is this good?

 

You could theoretically get there at like 10am and they would more than likely give you your bottles.

Lines at 3pm are nonexistent except maybe in the tasting room. All bottle checkoff lists and bottle pickup are done at separate locations not inside the tasting room.

So for you..innout in like 5 minutes.

 

Soooo, I didnt order any and I'm going SD Brewery hoping on Sunday...any chance they will have at least tasters of this...if not bottles in the tasting room? I know its a long shot but that would be awesome if they did.

 

Not likely. They usually just do tasters for those that bought the bottle and have not put on a keg in the past...things could change.....but I wouldn't go there and count on it.

Best bet is to try and get a ticket from someone that bought bottles that either needs to leave or some other reason for not having their free taster.

I'm shooting for an earlier pickup around 10ish Saturday morning. I keep hearing RipCurrent is the top spot to head after but I am also going to need to make a lunch stop, any good restaurant/pubs you guys can recommend in the area? I like Churchill's but I am wagering that place will be a shitshow for much of the day.

Worst case scenario I pass several Pizza Port locations on my way back home.

For those going sunday morning, just got word that Grillfellas will be setup outside of the tasting room with breakfast and migrate towards lunch later in the day. So food WILL be present, but only on sunday.

Someone else might be there saturday, but I have no information about that.
