Circle Jerk BIF Thingy Final Hint: In regards to hint #1 I used to visit for work trips, the company I worked for at the time was Fastenal. If my target was paying attention it should be fairly obvious now.

If all goes as planned shipping Monday, trying to keep it under 200 oz. but I can't make any promises.

I still have so many breweries I haven't popped the cherry with yet. That's why I love these BIFs/LIFs/Circle Jerks/Whatever you want to call them. I've been exposed to so many new things I would have never tried otherwise.

Haven't tried anything from:
-Trillium
-New Glarus
-Surly
-Tired Hands
-Jester King (taking care of that with a visit in may!)
-Toppling Goliath
-Cantillon
-Drie Fonteinen

These are just a few off the top of my head, but I could make a list twice as long of top breweries I have been able to try thanks to this group alone!

 

I'm sure there's a few people in here that could help you with the majority of that list if you ask nicely. I've been able to check off Surly, New Glarus, and Toppling Goliath (Golden Nugget in the fridge may meet it's maker tonight) just from meeting up with two Locals that are local to me.

 

That's the plan!

I'm in no rush to try them all and will keep participating in these BIFs and appreciate those and other local breweries that I've never tried equally as much.

 

Where do you live in Georgia? My family vacations in Beaufort, SC most every year, will be down there in September. If you're a manageable distance from Savannah maybe we can meet up for a beer and to swap some local goodies.

I do not have a hook up as of yet. I added it the other day after seeing some people talk about it. I'd be happy to set up a trade once this round and the Stouts round ends, lets talk, but only if you've got a bottle to spare. Thanks for the offer.

 

I'm a bit north of Atlanta. Savannah is awesome and I used to visit there all the time when I was in school at Georgia Southern, but unfortunately it's 4 hours away from Atlanta. So unless you stop over for a night in Atl, I don't think it would work out.

 

Yeah I should have one that's not spoken for, I'll hold it for you and we can talk after Stouts is done.

Damn, that's too bad, not gonna be able to make it down to Atlanta.

I liked it, was nice change of pace after the palate assault from Scream and Furious. Would be a great summer time drinker.

So even though we are in adjoining states, I try and track everybody's hints -- so I googled "Fastenal", and the first hit is literally an 8-minute drive from my house. Wrong Fastenal...

 

They probably have like 2,000-3,000 locations, the location of their corporate headquarters is important though.
