Two Irishmen, Patrick & Michael, were adrift in a lifeboat following a dramatic escape from a burning ship. While rummaging through the boat's provisions, Patrick stumbled across an old lamp. Secretly hoping that a genie would appear, he rubbed the lamp vigorously. To the amazement of Patrick, a genie came forth. This particular genie, however, stated that he could only deliver one wish, not the standard three. Without giving much thought to the matter, Patrick blurted out, "Make the entire ocean into Guinness Beer!" The genie clapped his hands with a deafening crash, and immediately the entire sea turned into the finest brew ever sampled by mortals. Simultaneously, the genie vanished. Only the gentle lapping of Guinness on the hull broke the stillness as the two men considered their circumstances. Michael looked disgustedly at Patrick whose wish had been granted. After a long, tension-filled moment, he spoke: "Nice going Patrick! Now we're going to have to pee in the boat!"

I was once called "a whale in a sea of beer." I think a sea would be a pretty good size. @SonictheBeerhog

We are discussing drinking beer, not bathing in it. Get with the program!

I'm fine with the current format of 12oz, 16oz, and bombers.

There is no perfect sized container. The perfect sized container does not exist. There is no perfect.

We have a local brewery that sells growlers. So if breweries were too sell those for cheapernthan a 6 pack I would get those.

My biggest pet peeve is when they don't give you a full 12 oz. They instead give something like 11.5 oz. I want that extra .5 oz damn it. Lol

I love that craft brewers are embracing cans - many advantages over glass. Soda moved to plastic bottles over glass some time ago - any chance we'd see beer in plastic bottles? Light-weight & shatterproof. I can't imagine the alcohol would react with the plastic as quite a few spirits are available in plastic 'hip' flasks.

I really like 16 oz containers for beer; 16 oz "tall boy" cans and what I call German bottles. You know the type of 16 oz-ish bottles that German beers like Schneider and Weihenstephaner come in. Also some American breweries use these, like Local Option and Maine Beer.
