Their Third Coast Old Ale is the best that I've had from them. Expedition Stout after that. Not too much good from them in my experience. And that includes Hopslam.

Yes, I know I should say Hopslam. It is an extraordinary beer; it is also incredibly hard-to-get. That said, I now go to my favorite Bell's beer that is readily available. Two Hearted Ale, a sweet and savory nectar that combines heavenly hoppiness with the sweet salve of orange slices. Even my girlfriend likes it - and she hates everything I like.

I have tried a lot of different beers made by Bell's, and I would say that Bourbon Barrel Expedition is a strong contender for my favorite Bell's beer. Raspberry Wild One is also towards the top of my personal list of favorites from Bell's.

Raspberry Wild One was in a whole 'nother class, but if considering availability....I would say Expedition.

[Pic courtesy of Slamminson] It's still in 6's actually  Just Black Note in 4-packs AFAIK, and The Oracle is priced the same as Hopslam.

I am terrible at picking favorites. I have drank more Two Hearted than any other, so I'll say that. I also love Amber, Midwest Pale Ale, and Kalamazoo Stout too, and I enjoy all of the seasonal and limited releases.

Being in IL, have you been able to ever get a full six pack? Maybe its just the distribution or store allocation by me, but it always seems to be that it is a 2 bottle limit which is a bummer.

Damnit, thats awesome. Over the last 2 years or so, our stores have been only selling 2 per. Hopefully it changes, so that I am not driving to 3-4 stores this year.

Just once a few years ago, at a store I did not expect to find any limited beers like that. Most are 2 bottle limits here in Southern IL/STL,MO too.
