Bottle Logic Anniversary Week 3/22 - 3/28

It's still very early, but we want to open the vault and shed a few more details for our friends on BA...

In a nearby facility, we have been carefully tending nearly 250 barrels of our most delicious brews. We've been aging beer in red wine barrels, white wine barrels, five different types of bourbon barrels, tequila barrels, rum barrels, and we have sherry and port barrels en route.

Earlier today, we did a comprehensive barrel tasting and we are pleased to say that we will be able to preview a wide variety of these flavorful beers on our anniversary week. All beers will be available on draft, with Ideation available in bottles on 3-28. Other bottles will be released throughout the year.

A few highlights include:

Ideation -- Our hopped anniversary wheat wine aged in Heaven Hill barrels.

Darkstar November - We have carefully selected the finest Darkstar November barrel and aged it for an additional 5 months to bring out more of the delicious toasted marshmallow and bourbon character.

Sangria Tripel - Our Belgian tripel inspired by Sangria wine, aged in red, white, and bourbon barrels and finished with brettanomyces.

Dark and Stormy - Aged in 60 year old nicaraguan rum barrels and finished in Buffalo Trace barrels.

This sounds like a solid 1 year anniversary week long event. I like the idea alot. Although I was not at the grand opening I heard and saw pictures it was crazy crowded. I went a week later.
I wish some of the other local brewery's would look at BL and do the same thing. Hint….Beachwood. Hint….Noble. Every year the craft beer scene here grows. More and more newbies getting into the scene. Which is all great. But lets spread the celebration out to a couple of days or a week. No need to cram it all in 1 day and be done. Last years BW's 3 year anny was a mess. If it is a one day event then I'm done. Kudos to Bottle Logic for doing the right thing.

 

Eh, I don't want to make daily trips to a place to enjoy all their offerings for a solid week. Then you have Bruery where they did the month long sale with new bottles daily and that is just too much. I don't mind a big anniversary party if done correctly in ticketed and fixed amount of space/people allowed in.

 

I'm sold, really liked Darkstar November and these other offerings sound pretty good.

 

Soooo, this needs to happen now. I could go for some darkstar again.

 

Yep, curious to see what the extra barrel time did to it.

 

I've got 3 bottles still, I just dont want to open them. Is anyone still seeing bottles at stores?

 

I think Mr K's still has some. Macallan's Pub and Restaurant in downtown Brea had bottles on their menu($25) when I was there a month ago or so, wouldn't surprise me if they were still there.

 

Problem with going to Mr K's is I can't just buy one bottle...

 

Vendome in fullerton still had some if I recall $22 or so, was there last friday.

 

This is the correct way to celebrate the anniversary.

 

I could have sworn when I was in there a couple weeks ago the days were different and the darkstar was with vanilla and chocolate...maybe I'm just going crazy.

 

Any special growler fills that week?
