Thanks to Clown Shoes for all of their BA beers. Great brewery! Visiting MI until this Wednesday...looks like I'm going to miss the Minnie Quay. Any MI traders who'd like to trade some to me in Philly please PM me.

I heard there was a tiff between the distributor and Clown Shoes in Colorado, hence no more Clown Shoes here. Totally sucks, I miss their beer big time! Anyone know the real story about this?

Just curious, where did you source cognac barrels for original Billionaire? If you can disclose.

They were Remy Martin barrels sourced from a domestic barrel broker. This year we were luck enough to be able to buy 30 year old cognac barrels direct from Pierre Ferrand.

Next year. We may do a small batch, seriously spicy version later this year.

What's that 6th anniversary beer going to be @ClownShoesDreams?

Sorry if that was answered. I skimmed over the thread and didn't see anything.

Oh also forgot to ask - what's the update on Crasher in the Rye, @ClownShoesDreams? My local shops in western mass and Northern RI said they haven't heard anything about this one yet

those that were used for Sélection des Anges then?

Have you ever compared aging in older and younger whatever-spirit barrels? I would think that in 30 years the cognac distillate "sucked" A LOT out of he wood. Would the younger spirit work better?
