I'm guessing when they decided to make more they used barrels from a different bourbon. I've heard it's getting hard to source barrels now.

 

I would bet anything that it is more of a base beer variation. If they brew like they run their 4 elves party, then it is a disorganized mess...

 

Never been what happened at the party that makes you say that? Do you know the brewers?

 

Extreme disorganization at 4 elves and it is a yearly problem. Walking around the brewery you can find little clues that say "I don't think that is the right way to do that". An example that comes to mind would be see a barrel as i was walking by and the barrel want even sealed properly with a bung, they had a rubber band with plastic wrap on the barrel. It just looked pretty sketchy and several others thought the same. That year at Dark Horse 4 elves party there we at least 5 different bottles they sold that were full blow infected and lets not get started on how many beers on draft were infected as well...yikes!

 

I heard they had a reality show maybe it's gone to their heads now.

 

This all happened last year and several years before the show happened at Dark Horse.
