Agree. I listed it only because of its "classic" status but probably shouldn't have listed it all. It has been awful for a while now, like dirty bath water even at the tasting room.

One caveat I would make regarding obtaining notorious at the Apex. I don't know what the deal is there, but they seem to pride themselves on having super high prices for some of their beers. For some reason, notorious seems to be one of those beers. Notorious is served in a 6 ounce glass there for $6 a pop, which is easily the highest price I've seen for notorious anywhere.

If you can't find it any place else, then by all means go to the Apex (if you have to try it). Apex almost always has an outstanding tap and bottle selection, but I flat out do not understand their pricing on certain items (on some things, their prices are quite reasonable).

    Good luck.

Just had a Notorious yesterday at Apex. As mentioned above, it always seems to be on there, but comes and goes quickly elsewhere. I too am often confused by their pricing and was about to order something else, but really wanted a Notorious so I caved. Hop Venom is only $5 for 12oz.

As far as IPAs go, besides all the one's previously listed, I also recommend Ecliptic's Orbitor which I tried for the first time the other day. Great stuff. Also have been enjoying Sunriver's Vicious Mosquito which has been available on tap and in 22's around town.

Speaking of Sunriver Brewing, has anybody seen Resination around? Seems like that beer has been getting outstanding reviews. This brewery is poised to blow up in the next couple years.

LOL! What can I say? When it's good, it's very good, but... the last couple of times I had it at the tasting room, the beer was a murky brown color, and was overly harsh and bitter. I haven't had a good glass of Blue Dot since sometime last fall now I think.

For being near downtown I like the selections at:
    - New Seasons Market, 3445 N Williams Ave
    - Whole Foods Market, Pearl District, 1210 NW Couch St
