I'm like the field of dreams. If someone brews it. I will drink it. Maybe some obscure blended style or new combination of flavors would become my new favorite.

    Cheers!

Hello. I am definitely a beerslut, everything from everyone at all times. However if the question is do I have a favorite style or is there a style I don't dig much, I'd say I usually don't like Belgians or sours. But I definitely keep an open mind (or open palate as it were) and try anything.

Diversity for sure. I mostly avoid adjunct Lagers but will drink them at a Cardinals game or something such. Some Scotch Ales don't do it for me either, especially the American ones with the peaty flavors and low hopiness. I like imported Scotch Ales (aka English Bitters) and hopped up American versions. Just not the big cloyingly sweet ones that actually taste like Scotch. Those are kinda gross. American Wheat beers don't really do much for me, but I like Hefs and Wits.

Do I ever miss our sunny San Diego! It was the first city I lived in from Italy and I love California a lot! Cheers! :grinning:

I would have to say I am willing to try any style from any country. When I do drink in the winter, I drink a beer or two a day with my meal. So my regulars would be Rogue, Stone, Dogfish, and Sierra Nevada.

For the first time 2 weeks ago I had a
    St. Bernardus Pater 6

    and I loved it!

Though I am taking a break for this year on beer, because I am body building very seriously, I really wanted to meet fellow BA's in my area to experience new and exciting beer. I know my attitude could be viewed by many as a great one as I am open and respectful of all tastes. Naturally I love Italian craft beer for its creativity and its respect of tradition. If I had the means I would host HUGE Italian craft beer parties, because boy can I cook! :grinning:

This is great to see that Italy will become a more powerful player in the craft beer scene! To have respect from American brewers makes me happy and cheers to all!

I drink a fairly wide assortment, but I could probably try to branch out a little more. When you try several varieties of the same style and don't particularly like any of them, it takes something out of the ordinary for you to try another of the same genre, like an unusual ingredient or knowing that it's very highly regarded.

Like the OP said, I also do not discriminate against quality. I generally buy a different cheap sixer each weekend for grilling, otherwise I go through whatever mood I'm in, and try various breweries each week. I'm into browns and ambers now, a style I used to hate but now love. I appreciate other countries as much as I can, although I generally avoid Asian beers (with the exception of Japan) ...

Now that I think about it I tend to avoid APAs, IPAs and DIPAs. The only time I really drink them anymore is if I'm at a bar and that's the best or one of the best options available.

I will try just about anything once. I try to have a different beer every time I crack one open, and I love cherry picking my own six-packs. That said, I do prefer amber ales and weissens, and they tend to get a closer look than pale ales or IPAs because I just don't care for them overly much.

I love all styles of beer but I avoid about 99.9% of all macros. I try to sample beers from all over the world. I've been on an American craft kick for quite some time now too.

I mainly stick to American craft but in terms of style I drink anything. Really only avoid scotch ales/wee heavys and anything brewed with licorice

I have a few styles I prefer, but I do mix it up a bit. I generally stay within American and Belgian craft. I've been making a conscious effort lately to branch out into more English and German ales, and I've yet to be disappointed.

The only beers I tend to "discriminate" against are low-ABV lagers. I also rarely drink American or European macros. It's a safe bet that if its a beer with a commercial on TV, it's a beer I probably don't drink.

My taste in beer would probably not be considered "diverse" by BA standards. I've tried the top rated examples of almost every style, but my favorites are mostly Belgian, German, and Scottish ales, with a smattering of German lagers.

I unfortunately have no taste for pronounced bitterness, which prevents me from enjoying a huge number of styles-- especially American. I made a concerted effort at developing a taste for IPAs and Stouts, but to no avail; now I mostly stick to affordable Belgian styles (New Belgium), Old Chub, and the occasional German import.

Hopefully my palate will learn to appreciate bitterness at some point.

I try to drink anything I've never had before. Of course my favorite is IPA/DIPA but I love everything else too. Just bought a Cave Creek Chili Beer to try! Heard nothing but great things about it  so I have to give it a go.

I love drinking different beers. Thursday I had an impy stout, an american wheat ale, a witbier, an ipa and a porter. Saturday I had a dipa, a barleywine, a porter and an apa. Most of the beers I tend to drink are from the U.S., but that isn't necessarily because my favorite styles or breweries are here, more of a convenience thing.

When i was heavily discovering craft beer I drank any and all styles for the learning experience. After a while you learn your preferences are and mostly stick with what you know will satisfy your tastes. Sometimes I think those that are always on the hunt for "new to them" beers have never come to that point and would rather leave their style selections up to random new choices.

    I drink probably 80-90% IPA's.
