Figure most stores will get 6 bottles. Seems to be the trend as of late with the quantities and distribution.

Me too. The only other Sucaba I'd ever had was last year's, and it was exceptionally good, even though I had it fairly fresh. This year's struck me as different, for whatever reason, and not as good. It was more syrupy, less smooth, less integrated, and ultimately less delicious. I gather I'm not the only person who found this vintage to be a little sub-par...

Firestone barrel aged beers come in cases of six, so each store is probably allocated a case.

Yes, most places sell out in a few hours. Most stores get 1 to a few cases in my experience. 6 bottle cases.

Haven't seen it in Nor-Cal yet. LOL.

Official word from Firestone was the 21st.

So I've never had this. Is it better to put a year or so of age on it or do you guys like it fresh? My brother has a 2011 that we want to compare. I might try to get the 3 in between and try them all

Personally I like it aged. Like I like most BA offerings. Just an opinion, I like the taste of aged beer but if you do not like aged beer than your better off drinking it fresh. Same goes for wine or anything else. If you dont like what happends during the process of aging (the fading of some flavors while others emerge) they aging is not for you.

Personally I have a two year roataing stock on all FW walker vintage beers. However after this year I am considering pushing it to three because I thouhgt the 2013 Sucaba could have gone at least another year, so the plan is to taste the rest at 2 years and go from there.

IMO the '14 was amazing as soon as it was released. I haven't had a '14 recently, but as soon as I get a '15, I'm going to try both.
