You press F5 to refresh. Then you buy tickets. 100% guaranteed.

I scored 10 pairs of Dead tickets for each night just through the trusty old F5.

I am betting 18th Street will also have a big release on Saturday just to throw the universe further into chaos.

I saw the bottles today. At least it will not be the chaos that is a new Hunter (I hope).

There better at least still be the 10 minutes to complete your order countdown timer, where you are safe and can enter your payment information without worrying about it selling out. The old days of "whoever puts in their credit card the fastest" was the worst system ever. I experienced that recently with an online beer shop, had stuff in my cart but when I clicked "complete order" it said "no longer available". That is just a terrible system for any high demand item. I am guessing this is nothing to worry about though.

It's not predictable when they will go on sale at the brewpub, in years past they have sold on a couple Sundays and maybe a Friday as well. They won't announce until 30 minutes before or right when they go on sale.

F5 is the same as hitting the refresh button in your browser. It's not a trick, it's a joke referring to people furiously spamming F5 to refresh the page.

A quick google search of "etix server crash" brings up lots of complaints regarding problems with bands I've never heard of. Doesn't look good....

Where? I see one facebook link from 6 years ago for a concert at Metro (capacity 1100) for a group with Jon Paul Jones, Dave Grohl & Josh Homme. I recall there was quite some demand for that show. Let's save the overreacting until 12:01 pm Saturday at least.

No matter which service is used, people will always whine. Everything sucks... Unless they get tickets... Then it's all good.

    Yawn.

Bottom line is that we won't know until Saturday. Maybe the new service is better than any that they have used so far.

Checked the FAQ on 3F's site but didn't see my specific question answered. Buying the ticket allows you to enter the premises but if i want to sample the on tap offerings, i need to pay for those correct?

Essentially nothing except for listening to bands is included with a General Admission ticket, and purchasing the standard Dark Lord ticket allows you to purchase up to 4 bottles of reg. Dark Lord (at $15 a piece). The non-GA Dark Lord ticket also is a scratch off, giving you a chance to win the ability to purchase a barrel-aged variant. All beers on tap and all food being served are an additional cost.

So basically...your ticket gets you in the door, you pay for literally everything else except the bands.

The ticket cost basically covers the cost of the festival - bands, security, porta-potties, renting additional space in the industrial park, fencing off the property. You dont get anything other than entering the grounds.

With GA, you do have the opportunity to purchase food, draft beer (all pours are $5), bottles of beer (other than 2015 Dark Lord).

With a GA ticket why wouldn't you have the opportunity to purchase 2015 Dark Lord?

GA tickets only get you into the event...Not sure I understand your question. Last year was the first year for the standard tickets that allow the purchase of DL bottles and the new GA ticket that allows one entrance to the event.

Thanks for the clarification. I didn't realize that they had two different types of tickets.
