Disagree but that's okay. I thought that beer was super tropical and fruity. I'd even say sweet. The group that I was with all agreed it was awesome after it warmed up a tad.

re-givter and easy rider were delicious in my mind. like that last batch of sue...hazy, tropical, clean, and nice soft mouthfeel. anyway, i thought the aforementioned were excellent. sr-71 taste there too. i thought it being quite a bit better than assassin. great complexity, big vanilla and black strap mollases. i thought it was more smooth and rounded than assassin. i did not age any assassin, so maybe that had to do with it. i don't age many beers. i thought that beer was delicious, but a bit more noticeable on the bitter chocolate and oak tanins.. just my two cents. all delicious stuff regardless.

I'm thinking of making a trip. Anyone else...would heavily reimburse any willing soul that would grab a bottle if I'm not able to make it.

Didn't get the chance to try Easy Rider but did get a growler of Regifter, heavy orange flavored and tasted great.

Grabbed two bottles of SR71, giving one to a friend and trading the other to someone on the east coast for a haul of IPAs.

Care to share what you are getting for the SR71? Just curious what the trade value is.

I'm getting 4 sip of sunshine, 2 heady toppers and 3 gandhi and a few random New England Brew Co beers. I'm sure I could have gotten more elsewhere but I was sick of dealing with 15-20+ people emailing me about trades. It got out of hand quickly. I'm not a huge stout fan so I was glad to get it in someone's hands that will appreciate it.

All I'm gonna say is, they have a long way to go if ReGifter was intended to be King Sue.

I think the correct answer would be to post a picture of Sue from 1-2 years ago and a picture of the last batch of Sue. Two completely different looking beers.

Yes, that might be ideal IF I had had a bottle of King Sue from the last/only time it was bottled. However, I don't think it's "incorrect" to post the first time King Sue was brewed (this is the first glass poured of it at the taproom, mind you) and the alleged "failed King Sue" that I had just 13 months later.

Also, I am not sure where you get off constantly telling people they're wrong.

I'm not saying you're wrong at all. I was just asking if anyone had a comparison picture. Sue has certainly evolved in color/appearance so I don't think it would be a stretch to say King Sue would too. That's all.

Ok, my bad. The way you worded "the correct answer would've been.." threw me off! I'll have to dig around to see if there are any pics from the bottling run anywhere. The one I got I traded since I had already had it. These were just two I had taken myself.

The last batch from 6 months ago was bottled...before that it was growlers...I highly doubt someone has a growler sitting around over a year later...

Also, lighting could have a bit of impact on those picture comparisons, possibly?! Not the same circumstances, but take that damned internet sensation blue/gold dress from last month. Also, I'm not saying it's not different looking but maybe it's not as dark as the picture seems?! Just a thought.

Eh, not really. It was taken in the exact same place. It has a way different color. This is more Amber and King sue was more gold/orange and hazy and pretty. This was a lot more clear.
