Back in July i inquired of the good folks here at BA if a 1994 Samuel Adams Triple Bock would be good almost 18 years later. Well it was amazing.

We have a local chain of Beer Bars here calld World of Beer, the one i go to had a tasting event yesterday. I brought this lovely bottle, there was home brew there and some really hard to find beers as well as a 2011 Utopius.

The Triple bock was pouring thick but in a good way. Had good legs on the glass (Snifter) and a nice maple aroma. To say it stood up to 18 yrs in my liquor cabinet is an understatment. We even had late arrivals actually trying to squeez more from the sediment.

Just wanted to fill those you in that replied to my last post about it. Now to find some more.

I still have some 1995 Triple Bock, that I open about once per year. They still taste quite nice!

Hell yes! I can't stand the triple bock hate. I enjoyed the '97 I tried and I still have a '94 left.

The 1997 vintage was the worst beer I ever had.

My fil still has a six pack left out of case he bought when they first came out. We have been sampling one every other year or so. Some bottles had cork issues and here drainpours, but the good ones seem to be getting better with time. Last time I had one, it was intense, with a trainwreck of flavor going on, including still heavy on the soy sauce, but also opening up with port, cocoa, and maple flavors. I think they need another 20 years or so to mellow out.:astonished:

From I gather you can get them on ebay for $20 30 per bottle. Is it worth it probably not. It was nice to be able to appreciate it after all these years. Hell back in 94 when i got it i had no idea what it was. I may have even spit it out when i tasted it.

I still have a bunch left aged in a beer/wine cellar since new. I need to crack one to see how they are holding up. I have some 94, 95 and 97.

The 97 i had was aweful. Between the five of us, we couldn't finish it. The other one time I had it (and I don't remember the vintage) I quite enjoyed it.

wow, I may actually have to go the
Thanks, I actually may support going on Ebay for this since I dont want to trade and pay shipping ect for this obvious mistake in the making, cheaper to do it this way too.
