Having a hell of a time finding a MN made APA with citrus notes that clocks in at under 5% ABV. I see Bent Paddle (used) to make one that might fit the bill. Are there any others I might be missing?

Lift Bridge Crosscut is close but 5.5% ABV. Looking for something a bit more sessionable while on the boat

That's like a White Buffalo! :grimacing:

Day Tripper is the last, local APA I enjoyed and which matches that general description, but it's over 5%.

Did Bent Paddle cut Daypack from their range? It was pretty darn good, and I preferred it to their I.P.A.

Day pack is the one I was eyeballing but it's not listed on their website, I assume it's retired

If across the river in ND is close enough, there is Fargo Brewing's Iron Horse APA which is at 4.8%

I thought that Daypack was just a summer seasonal. I hope it comes back, as I enjoyed it as well.

I did a quick search of the other site, and I limited it to bottled and canned offerings for your boating needs. If you're willing to go with a growler, that opens up more possibilities (notably Bang Neat at 4.9%).

The only one I could find that fit your criteria is Burning Brothers Pyro at 4.9%. The pro is that it's canned. The con is that it's terrible (it's gluten-free).

At exactly 5% is Fulton's The Ringer, which is bottled, but I believe it's a fall seasonal.

612Brew's Six at 5.1% and in cans may be your best bet overall. Third Street Three Way is 5.2% and bottled. There's also Lake Superior Special Ale, which is bottled, but Lake Superior doesn't publish ABV; my guess is it's right around 5% but probably not under.

A tasty option if for some reason Wisconsin counts as close enough would be New Glarus' Moon Man at 5% exactly (bottled).

Those cans make it to the Twin Cities area (and more!), now. Still need to try it.

Day Pack is a seasonal from Bent Paddle. Not sure what season though. The Ringer from Fulton should serve your needs, I think it's 5% abv? Town Hall's West Bank Pale Ale is sub 5% abv and delicious. Don't forget the ultimate Mn session pale ale, Bitter Brewer from Surly.
