Last time, if you bought a case they maddeningly didn't put any of those plastic 4 pack holders on the cans, just another cardboard tray on top. So the loose bottles were falling all over the place in the tray, if you are aiming to take it back on the subway, I'd recommended bringing some canvas totes.

You mean they were assembling the 4 packs as they were selling them?

yes, they only snapped the plastic lids on them if you were buying less than a case last time. judging from the picture they posted to their Instagram today though, it looks like they went ahead and put them on all the cans this time?

What was the scene like last time. I went two days after release and they were sold out. Safe to assume this will be the case again?

If I do rush over Saturday will there be crazy lines or anything

I plan on taking a long run and ending at OH so I may have to take a tote with me but a nice AC ride home sounds better to me!

Line was apparently long when they first opened at noon. I got there about 1:15 and the line for cans was only 5 people deep. They separated the drink and can lines which seemed to work more smooth. It was a bit crowded but totally manageable. When I left at 2 the line started to pick up again but nothing like the 25-30+ people at noon.

Anybody know how many cases they made this time around? I know the last GD run was around 280 cases and lasted over a day. I'm heading there around 1 or 2 on saturday and I just wanna make sure they have enough to last at least into the mid afternoon

my bet is that there won't be as much of a run on the cans this time around. im betting quite a few of the folks who got on line last time were looking at them as trade bait given their "limited" nature (which isnt so limited any more)

I think you're right re: quantity. They kegged some of this batch. Hope to see some of you down there Saturday, I probably will go around noon.

I think the fact that this time it goes on sale on a weekend rather than at noon on a weekday makes up for it being the 2nd release within a month. Also it seems like I and everyone else continually underestimate lines/crowds for beer events in this city (see the Torst anniversary thread). Hope I'm wrong though!

Can't make it Saturday but if there's some left Sunday I might head there re-up. Down to my last 2 from the first case

This stuff looks tasty. I'm crossing my fingers that there are still some cans available Sunday.
