I thought barrel aged Dogfather was a great find @ 6.99 until it exploded like a geyser when it opened and I went from 22oz to 15....

I was at a local place last year and found Firestone Walker 14. They had a half dozen or so bottles, priced the same as the regular FW offerings. My friend and I bought them out.

Where the hell did you see the Cantillon. I live just south of Carbondale and I hit every beer store in Southern Illinois, sometimes twice a week and I've never spotted Cantillon bottles.

It was in a store in Peoria, IL so really central IL I suppose. Anything south of the quad cities is downstate to me lol

A buddy of mine went to a shop in SE MA and picked up a bottle of Cantillon Gueuze. He didn't look at the receipt until he got back to his house in RI. Upon looking at the receipt it said "Cantillon Classic Gueuze $0.01. Bottle Deposit $0.60." That's right, a 750mL Cantillon Classic Gueuze for $0.61.

The receipt is still hanging on his fridge and I cry a little every time I see it. If only I had known at the time. Apparently multiple bottles were still on the shelf when he left. Heartbreaking, but the awesomeness is larger still.

On my end: Had a Heady Topper dropped in my bag without my knowledge. Got home with my purchases and nearly crapped myself when I saw the can. This all took place a week or two after they started canning Heady Topper. The best part, it was still cold.

I had Maine Zoe as part of a trade once, I have never seen it on shelves where I live , saw some today and jumped on them. Good beer and relatively fresh too, they put bottled on date on label.

I presumed such. Real southern Illinois rarely sees rares or even great beers. But, because of the relatively small beer community here, some great stuff stays on the shelves for a while...

Walked into my local store because I was looking for some Firestone Walker XV. The clerk said they hadn't gotten any in yet, but said he had another bottle I might be interested in. He comes out from the back with a bottle of 2010 Abyss and says they just found a few of them the day before when doing inventory. I assumed they would be charging around $20 for it, but when it rang up for $13.99, I bought it immediately

Three recent scores. I was out in Sonoma and went to the Whole Foods. They had just received a shipment of super fresh Pliny and sold me a case! The girl at the checkout also gave me a 10% discount on the $4.99/bottle for buying a case.

My two bottle shops in the town I live in get great beers and don't have many BA's in the area. I bought a case of '10 and '11 Abyss from one shop and a case of '12 Parabola and '12 Sucaba at the other. Pretty happy about it!

Every who know me will know that I totally love the Wine Works in Marlton NJ. I have not seen a store with the selection of Italian craft that I love, and not to mention the World selection as well (Norway, Sweden, England, Germany, etc) I have seen many people talk about the Total Wine and Beverage but I have not seen the selection of Italian craft there. Also when I go I also like to search for Bell's and other regional specialties.

Deviation, a few weeks ago. But I just couldn't pull the trigger on the $85 price tag.

Found a 2009 Stone Old Guardian and 2005 Avery Beast in NY last month. The OG was just sitting at the bottom of a cooler along with an 09.09.09.
