Not sure if anyone saw this yet but here is some info on Carton Brewing's upcoming brew. http://www.idrinkgoodbeer.com/craft-beer-blog/scenes-ss-kentucky/
I was really impressesd with those guys at EBF last year, and am looking forward to them again - but yes, Mid-atlantic would be the place for this thread.
Sounds like an intriguing beer! Cheers to Carton (@augiecarton) and Against the Grain Breweries!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ah! I'm going to be at #2. I'm sure I'll be out after though at one of the usual bars if you're gonna be out after.
Yeah Session 3 ends at 9 pm, so I'm sure I'll be out and about after that. What's a good bar around there? Boston first timer here.
Row 34 is a great spot and it's right near the fest. If it's too crazy though I might venture out towards lord hobo/publick house to get away from the crowds. Those are some of the major beer bars (others as well obviously, those are the ones that come to mind now though)
here's what we will have at EBF: and Cosmonaut Super Galena hops early in the boil bring a strawberry touch. Russian imperial stouts have a dark chocolate presence with vanilla nuance; quite pleasing when accented by a bold hop addition. Our walk around this space had us skirting the territory of those three tone blocks of supermarket ice cream. All we needed was an ingredient you can ferment that would push those notions without running over the beer-ness of the flavors. We turned to that classic museum snack, freeze-dried Neapolitan ice cream. Drink Sundae because exploration is what it’s all about. (video to follow
Any word if these are going to hit the usual NJ distro spots like Epitome and Coffee or is this brewery only? Dyin to try this beer!
don't be fooled by their look those aren't cans they are 16oz aluminum growlers for tasting room retail only. when we make it again i'll get a proper can all through the right channels.
