True dat my friend. But, alas, this exact thing happened once before to me and damn if my wife showed up and I am still trying to put that experience behind me.

Highlight of my night, a Stone Xocoveza dug out of the fridge. Tasting fantastic now!

 

I know it was definitely one of the first craft beers that I became aware of, long before I knew what craft beer was (or even knew anything about beer at all, considering that I would've been like 5 or 6 at the time, heh.) Back in the '90s I remember seeing (empty?) Sierra Nevada boxes on display on top of the beer fridge at a local restaurant that my dad took us to pretty much every weekend... so I could recognize the logo on sight for over a decade before I ever drank beer.

(The only other name from back then that stands out to me was Landshark, and that was mainly because... well, it's called "Landshark." I also knew there were beers called Magic Hat and Dogfish Head, though I hadn't actually seen them back then; if I remember right those two came up when I pointed out to my dad that "Landshark" was a funny name for a beer and he mentioned a few other "funny beer names" that he'd heard of. Trying to steer the future beer-drinking me away from light lagers that come in clear bottles by suggesting some alternatives, maybe? XD)

Ale Asylum Velveteen Habit. Yes please! This needs to become a year round if it's already not. Or at least a seasonal. Cascade+Citra= deliciousness, (but we already knew that.)

 

Haven't heard of that one yet but I think I'll check it out. Looks like a next gen Darksiders.

SanTan Devil's Ale by SanTan Brewing in AZ...great pale ale!

 

Successor to Demon Souls and Dark Souls actually. It's made by the same folks etc.

Too freaking funny, although I still grind it also.

 

Wife got hold of the Xocoveza, so now onto a Backwoods Bastard.

 

I was going hard on this game for a while until I reached 30 and kindof dropped off from there. Still a fun game when you're playing with friends.

 

Going for a Devils Backbone/Fat Head's Collaboration Double Gooch Imperial International Pale Ale. Great stuff!
