4:30 would probably be far too late.

There is a reason they were the 1st two Vermonters to post in this thread.

I've been to the last 2 Lawson's Anniversary Beer Lovers Markets during the day and got there well after it opened mid-afternoon and it was great...lines aren't bad at all, most of all the selection of beers is still available, not that crowded, etc. To each his own, but I never understand why people get there so early...its totally not necessary. And if you do miss out on a bottle of something that sold out, there's always people there willing to give up some of their allotment...or even give you their lower-numbered ticket. All the haters love to say how much of a sh!tshow it is...those are usually the people that either have never been or get there 5 hours before it even starts...or they're just a straight hater. And while you're there, hit up the other vendors as well. There's always plenty of other awesome quality stuff being sold besides Lawsons brews.

Sip just doesn't excite me all that much, flavor wise that is. Good beer, would buy it if I was in the area and it was available but wouldn't seek it out. Being one of if not the only non-white label(as dumb as this sounds) seem to correlate with their other brews I've had being far superior. DS, Triple Play, etc are far beyond sip. But hey, its not bud light.

Even though I remember the reasoning for this beer and it being more available it still just doesn't add up to me.

If their other beers were all as equally available for purchase at Warren Store, CO-Op, etc I guarantee you this would sit far longer then others. Obviously the can part makes it more enticing now.

Might have to do with the fact that this was over-crowded 3 years ago, amongst other things.

People love to whine on here. It was crowded last year and from a moving around inside perspective it was a bummer for the first hour but there was a ton of beer (literally I think everything made it through to the last ticket) and the ticket system is incredibly organized. Some people can't handle the fact that other people like the same things they do.

    No one is whining.

I assume LFL, as a business trying to make money, would like to know what its (former) customers think and why they aren't current customers.

I can find several A+ quality IIPA's in Vermont, so TO ME, standing around elbow to elbow for several hours on a weekend to walk away with a case of beer is not worth it.

My choice likely has zero effect on LFL bottom line given the current craft beer market, however, given that the person who hands out the tickets asked why several local people commented on this being a 'shit show', I answered.

Shit show is a strong word and I'm talking about the sale. its not unruly or disorganized and I know you're doing the best you can. How many people does the venue hold? Last time I went two years ago it felt like 50%? These things are only getting moe popular and from the couple of stories I heard last year, it was much of the same. With all the tables, lines for beer, line for draft, the stage.. There's nowhere to go. If I leave, I have to wait in line to get in due the limited capacity. I think you lve outgrown the one-room schoolhouse.

Love your beer, love your summer farmers markets, and love what you do for the community.

This farmers market... Is there other people selling merchandise? Or just Lawson? And if there are other vendors... Are the selling produce and things like that or just beer/beer merchandise?

This is a serious question lol I've never been to any of the farmers markets

The one time I got to the farmer's market, while waiting for my number to come up I picked up a strawberry rhubarb pie, various types of organic produce, and some kind of hot sauce (I think), and my sweetheart spent a half-hour on a massage table. Nice scene.

First timer for one of these. What is typically for sale and what are the limits?

Nobody who was there for the bottles or the party last year was complaining! Peril on draught, and everybody got all of the beer they wanted. I had an extra ticket for the party and I just reached out on the Lawson's Facebook page and they connected me with somebody who didn't have one. I thought the beer ticket system was great. Show up for a ticket, walk to Mad Taco for lunch and an SoS on tap, then head back and pick up your beer. Please don't change a thing!
