Bourbon County and Jackie O's production and working capital level are on a pretty different scale aren't they  I would think the costs of production of GI and JO's are not even close to the same ballpark.

So that 100% explains the price variance? Do you think $11.99 for a 12 oz BA stout is reasonable?

Thirsty Dog charges $5.75 for a 12oz BA imperial stout. I can't imagine they're too unlike Jackie O's in size or capacity. 2 points difference in BA score, so close enough for me. What explains that difference?

$24 for a 4 pack of BA Siberian Night/Wulver is a great value and both are great beers. I am by no means telling you what to drink. Drink what you find reasonable and/or enjoy and leave the Jackie O's for me . Just

To answer your question, if it is a BA Stout that I enjoy, I do find $11.99 priced reasonable. If my options are to drink a BA Stout at $12 that I like or one at $6 that I do not, I am certainly drinking what I like, regardless of where it's "BA Score" falls.

    Cheers and go Bearcats!

Amen, hoping to see them get to Kentucky before they get trounced

And by the way, I am a huge Jackie O's fan, haha. Let's not leave that unclear. I just get cheap sometimes!

FWIW, Thirsty Dog makes roughly 3xs as much beer as Jackie O's.

Well the beauty of the craft beer community is that we have so many choices as consumers. I wouldn't pay $12 for a 375ml bottle (which is NOT 12 ounces!) of barrel aged beer unless I really enjoy it. In the case of Jackie O's, I have yet to be disappointed by any of their beers so I don't mind paying $12 a bottle. Let's not overlook the amazing quality of their labels either! IIRC, they are all applied to the 375s by hand and are some of the best quality labels and artwork out there.

12.6803 oz  I like to think of the 375ml packaging as buy 12 oz for $11.99 and the .6803 is free! Everyone likes free stuff right?

Bourbon Barrel Black Maple is still probably the best beer I've ever had, or close. I hope that's for sale sometime soon in the future.

I've heard that it's already been in barrels for months, and to expect it this year. I'm sure Brad can answer that better ha.

BBBM is said to be released in the October/November time frame. Grab the flatbed and bring along the brinks truck because it will be on when this drops!!!

It sounds like my annual Hocking Hills fall trip will require a 40 minute detour.

Yeah, I already have my buddies down there on standby to make a few trips and load up! I'm also thinking to myself, "am I really going to spend $300+ on 24 beers?!"

    Yep. Yep, I am.

I get a cabin with a group of friends at least once, usually twice, a year and the detour always happens!
