Got a room at the La quinta, going to shoot for 6am myself, should be fun, good thing we're driving, going to need a lot of beer.

If you bring a 2 wheel cart bring bungee cords too!

I bring a backpack with wheels...

I got that info from someone that said they e-mailed the brewery and got it as a response. I've tweeted at the brewery using the internet tube machine and hope they will respond. As things approach I will call to get verification or use an inside source, but for now it's better safe than sorry, I figure.

They've been $15 a piece every year for as long as I've been attending (2010). It would be kinda lame if not only were the tickets to give you the opportunity to stand in line to buy beer more expensive than GA, but the beer was more expensive than in years past as well. Here's to hoping they kept the price the same, but I won't be surprised if you're right. Seems to be the way craft beer has been going recently.

Dumb question but they will let you bring that or is this "outside" of the ticketed area?

    I guess $20 more total isn't a big deal.

They're expanding. I'm sure they need to demonstrate a certain profit level to their investors. It's the way of the world. Not only that, but things get more expensive over time. I'm not sweating $20, especially since they've held it to a reasonable level for this long and considering its value after the fact. It's just part of life.

Agreed, but they already charge significantly more than a lot of other breweries for their specialty offerings. Will the change of price stop me? No, but I feel it appropriate that people vocalize their opinion (Not saying you believe they shouldn't)

I don't 100% disagree, but if we're specifically talking Dark Lord, Surly charges the same for Darkness; $18+ seems to be the common "big, limited stout" price nowadays, sadly. You're right though, FFF BA offerings are pretty steep.

Agreed but they don't charge you to stand in line to buy the bottle... the limit is higher, and this year it was barrel aged

Yeah, that's true; I was just talking about the actual bottle price. I agree that all said and done, the whole thing is a little steep. But that's beer culture for you!

Hey, man. Was just thinking about our epic PDX bottle share. You traveling out with any of the others I might have met?

You pay to go to the festival, which is a collossal undertaking for a brewery. The beer price is great, especially considering the price of stuff like Upland Sours, Bruery's rare stuff, etc.

I get that some people won't want to pay that price, but I think you will find plenty (maybe more?) that are happy to pay their price and more.

20 isn't that bad and I wouldn't want to imagine how much goes into the event. Plus there is so much (hopefully) great beer around I'm fine with the price for admission, and the drive over. Plus I'm looking forward to meeting new people.

I still don't understand why 30 is necessary when other breweries have similar festivals without charging anything. Namely Darkness and Huna Day come to mind. My girlfriend got shut out on tickets and I can't really justify to her why she should have to spend a decent chunk of money just to be on the grounds.

I'm surprised they are even letting GA tickets be sold since it's only going to add more people in the grounds. But since they are 30 isn't bad and the amount of beer around makes the events around my area seem way too expensive. Then again no one is making anyone go

Seriously? When I went last year, it was free entry and I got a taster glass in the process. The only thing my brother and I paid for was taps and food.

Yup this year $200 all inclusive including bottles and tasting. Ran a lot smoother according to friends that went both years
