    Hey guys and gals,

I'm looking to expand my horizons as a beer drinking and jump into a few different styles such as sours or saisons. Does anybody have any recommendations of widely distributed sours or saisons? Any other advice?

    Thanks guys!

If you like dry beers or brut champagne then try some Gouze. Me, not a fan of the dry quality but I love Flanders reds. Gose and Berliner Weiss are some others to look for.

Availability largely depends on your locality but Rodenbach and Duchesse de Bourgogne is generally easy to find. You should try them both and see if you prefer one over the other. The duchesse if way funkier and I love that aspect about it. If you like that funk, search for the best beer shops near you and call them to see what sours they carry.

Finding good sours is tough as they can be hard to find sometimes. Not just because you don't know what you're looking for either. Good luck.

Something from Cantillion? I hear you folks in Canada have greater access to their beers than us in the US.

Maybe in other provinces.. New Brunswick's Government run liquor stores do not carry Cantillion products

I am traveling to Maine next month so I may find a bottle or two down that way.

    Thanks for the recommendation!

Jacobins rouge is not too sour, and readily available.

I've heard lots of things about Alagash but have never tried any of their stuff myself! I have a feeling I will have to pay a fair amount of duty on beer when returning from that trip

Can you get Bells beer? an "entry level" sour from them is Oarsman. It's really more tart than sour but goddamn is it easy to drink. Awesome summertime beer.

I was just at Allagash about a week ago. Grab some Neddles and Midnight Brett. Both really solid sours.
