The Locals HINTS AND HAULS THREAD

Not sure what people are thinking, but I know the 12 Days of Christmas in July is going to be happening along the same time. I know several of us did the original 12 Days of Christmas, so this might impact who signs up for what. I'm not saying they can't go on at the same time, but one might impact the other.

Are you talking about the next round of Locals or one of the the other 50 BIF's happening in here?

You're one of the ones I'm pretty sure of -- but two people have dropped out of that category in the last week or so, so that doesn't mean much.

 

You missed @valrxman shipping to @devilfluff .... that landed last week

I hadn't counted @heystevec to @Ncpogs yet as I hadn't seen pR0n. @billhelm still owes us pRONz too, but he's under the weather...

I can also confirm that @treznor received his box from @Tee2Grn , but those pics will have to wait til he's back in the country...

I think that puts us officially at 22 boxes sent/landed, we're just missing pornoz for some

Yeah as much as I love participating in rounds of The Locals, that "12 Days" concept was so much fun for me that no way will I miss that, and with a big box going out soon for Stout IV, I doubt I could do 12 Days and Locals 6 at the same time. If enough people do want to do a big Locals round then, so be it, but I agree with Dennis that a lot of people might be in the same boat.

Not to make matters worse, but I'm also planning on a late summer BIF that will have its own thread, and I really like the concept and think a fair number of you will want to join.

With all the other cool things going on, and how draining "big" rounds are, I wouldn't mind seeing The Locals do only one (or maybe two) of those a year, with a "small" round every other month or so to keep things moving, along with all the "traditional" BIFs, LIFs, LICC MEs and other things we do.

 

Is a row or column a specific person?

The 12 Days concept was amazing. If you didn't do it last time, I can't recommend it enough.

 

I plan to jump in on this one.

The fact that you receive beers that are wrapped and slated to open (and consume) on a specific day. So instead of just having one haul shot, every single person on the thread was opening, drinking and posting their beer each day of the 12 days of Christmas. It was a lot of fun because most people spent a lot of time thinking about what beers to send, what order to drink them, and the joy of unwrapping something each day.

 

It appears to be a person = a row

 

When Treehouse finally ups production and Julius cans are easier to get, I see us NH/MA/CT folks making a lot of people's dreams come true.
