I think her line about $20 variants is written in a way that could be misconstrued. I read that as "Dark Lord variant prices are TBD, but be sure to bring $20/bottle for regular".

Wow, just took a look at the GA ticket site for shits and giggles...got right in without a second's hesitation. Two hours late. I'd say the no package beer sales is having an adverse effect.

Now that CoC has confirmed they are playing on their Facebook page, I bet there will be quite a few more GA tickets selling.

In fairness, the number of tickets available seems to have been dramatically increased, too.

Interesting that GA tix are still available. I wonder how much they've increased the capacity.

I also wonder, since there are apparently no on site sales of other beers, how that will affect the lines elsewhere. As someone mentioned earlier, the GA & the quickness with which the early groups picked up their allotment may have had an impact on lines elsewhere.

[uniformed speculation]I can only imagine that with this change that they are planning for more taps, both guest and 3F[/uninformed speculation]

With that being said, the best approach is to show up with some beers to share, either in line or inside, plenty of cash and be prepared to meet some good folks, have some good beers, and just roll with the punches. Don't worry about chasing rare beers. Hop in line and enjoy whatever's available when you get to the front. If you can't fine something to enjoy, you're either too picky or drink entirely too much.

And finally, if there are no on-site sales on DLD, that kiosk is going to get pummeled on Fri/Sun like a String Cheese Incident Fan at a CoC show.

Sounds like my approach for every Dark Lord Day and one that has made it ultra enjoyable.

That said, I demand SR-71 on tap this year.

Rumor that VSB and Fou on tap at 10am as well. Beer bongs of Younger for $50 at noon is still up in the air.

I would bet SR71 will be on tap. TG likes to bring their hard to find beers to these festivals, to give more people a chance to try them.

Last year they released king sue at huna, and then brought it to DLD

I was mostly being facetious but I half expect it to be there. I know they're bringing it to a much smaller festival here in Milwaukee the week prior, so I imagine it will be at DLD. Not that I will have a knife on me to fight everyone in line for a taste, sadly. Mommy says I'm not allowed to play with knives.

Question about last year. I know they asked all Group A ticket holders to line up at the north gate, and everyone else to line up at the south gate. I had group A and lined up at the south gate with my friends b/c some had GA, some had Group D and Group E. However, when the fest started the line was not moving, a worker informed me that I had to walk all the way up to the north gate to enter, and that the south gate would not open for another 30 minutes or so.

What I am wondering is this. Did anyone with a GA ticket or a later group ticket enter at the North gate first thing in the morning? Did you try and get turned away?

This year my group all has Group A, except one guy with a GA ticket. Just hoping he doesn't have to wait all by himself at the south gate.

Had group B last year. Entered North gate no problem.

I'm almost positive it didn't matter what gate you entered no matter what group you had. I don't know why they said for people with Group A to enter at the North gate but it was all just bs anyway. My friends and I entered the south gate with group A tix and it wasn't a problem.

I, for one, was turned away when they walked through the line checking for tickets to give out wristbands.

They seem to have bumped the numbers by 3,000 - 4,000 tickets.
