Yup yup. It's been a long, strange trip. It was actually my 2nd bachelor's. I finished up at UMass in '92 with the full knowledge that I had no interest in using my business degree. Waited tables in Seattle for a year, then landed in Atlanta where I studied creative writing at GA State. I had two fun years in Atlanta. I had my own apartment for the first time ever, bought a bass guitar and just plucked away every night. I had lots of fun times hitting the bars downtown between classes, then being a rowdy critic, toasted, in my writing workshop seminars.

 

Just announced -



We're very excited to announce the forthcoming release of Monsters' Park--our hulking, cantankerous, 13% ABV imperial stout--aged in bourbon barrels! This beer spent 5+ months aging in freshly dumped Heaven Hill bourbon barrels, and the results are thunderous.

In addition to the 'classic' edition, we also have two variants available: one featuring our house-roasted Black House Blend coffee, and one with toasted coconut & cocoa nibs. Both are immensely flavorful riffs on an already cockstaggeringly delicious base beer.

There are 600 bottles of each version available. They will go on-sale this Thursday, March 19th at 10am via Brown Paper Tickets; all bottles must be picked up at the Lomaland Fermentorium tasting room during the two month pick-up window. We'll celebrate the release on Wednesday, March 25th (the first pick-up day) with a party at the tasting room. We'll have all three versions on-tap plus some other tasty treats, and it'll be super happy fun times.

Probably can't help too much with the monster park stuff but I can get all their other stuff if you're ISO that. They've got their 4 main cans plus their seasonal can which is booming rollers and then they still have Protocosmos and City of the Dead available.

The first Monster's Park set sucked. Want to try some of their sours, but all the Saisons from MT have also sucked. Canned hoppy beers are solid, but sub par for SD.

Had an Adam, and a strong pour of Elmer T Lee while watching The Wire (S1) and tonight's episode of Justified, so I'm down with the Vintage Beatles Sextoy crowd.

 

I may need help.
