I don't know what Dogfish Head 120min costs but I thought I saw it marked $10-$11 for a single 12 oz bottle. Seemed crazy so I skipped right past it

That should be reported to Jackie O's I doubt they're stoked on that.

Damn, that is almost $40 a 4 pack...
Oddly enough, I would probably have just bought a 4 pack of KBS at $40 simply because I don't care and I want it, but a whole case is a commitment...

Sounds right based on what I've seen, I see 4pks here for $45.00, I'm not kidding, Ill take a pic next time I make a trip, lol.

That is about right - it is usually $10 or so - hence a rare treat for me.

I love it enough that I convinced him to ship me a 4-pack but yeah as far as committing to a whole case at the price there is no way. I tried to get tickets to the release and unfortunately struck out. I'd have been more than happy to pay $150 for a case.

Another one that blows my mind that I really want to try is BA Vanilla Shake. If my memory serves me correctly that's about $30 a bottle

Yeah, if I missed out one year and really wanted it, I would totally pay that for a 4-pack, but a whole case is a lot of one beer if it isn't a daily drinker I will knock off in good order. I had the chance not long ago to get a case of Zombie Dust (which I love - one of my favorites ever) for $60 and I opted to just buy a 6 pack because I knew I would be sick of it half way though the case. Can't imagine how sick of KBS I would be after that much...

It is 36 a 4 pk at the brewery and typically 10 bucks for a single at the local beer store. I agree with you at 10 bucks for 12 oz. Way to much even for such a world class beer. Luckily I travel by the brewery every few months and they seem to have it on their tasting menu quite often.

Yeah oddly, on tap it is never as bad as in the bottle. A place by me did a 6oz flight of 4 dogfish various, and one of them was 120, but the flight was only $10. A way better deal (especially given usual bar pricing) than the bottle

The majority of the beers people feel are "ridiculous prices" within this thread aren't ridiculous to me at all. They're the normal prices for those particular beers around here for the most part.

What I can't stand is that some stores in Silver Spring will sell, lets say, Barton Baton for $9.99 but the shop .03 miles will sell it for $17.99?! Obviously I researched and found the store that sold it for cheaper, just saying, I would rather not have to drive to three different shops to acquire certain beer for the best price.

Never had an issue with prices, if it's too much then it's not worth it to me...

Everything at the right time, when ready.

that sucks for him real bad, he shoulda shopped around. i got mine a little farther north for $125 by buying $20 4 packs from a few different stores. i cant ever imagine paying that much just on principle alone.

I don't care if it's a world class sour, when beer starts costing as much as good wine I'll stop buying beer. The most annoying part is unlike wine where the price often includes expensive land, barrels, hand sorting and picking and other factors that make sense. Beer doesn't have any of these expenses so I can only assume it's greed by someone, whether it's the retailer or brewer. Never tried anything from FFF or the Bruery and never will unless they lower their prices.

I know it's not comparable to prices over there, but went to a bar the other week that had 375ml bottles of mass-producted adjunct lagers (Carlton Cold) for $9. I ended up drinking Coke instead ($4 a glass).

I came across a ton of Firestone Walker barral aged beers (Sucaba, Stickee Monkee, DBA). I asked for the cost of the former two, he said $35.00. This was in San Clemente. How much does it usually cost??? I though 35 was way overpriced.

the high mark here in Baltimore is typically around $20 and we tend to have higher prices compared to other areas I've visited
