“Quiannanon Falls lager is very good. With the new brewhouse coming on line, I hope they make this in quantity.”

I want to ‘second’ hopfenunmaltz on “Quinannan Falls lager is very good”. I have only had the opportunity to drink this beer once on draft and it was a joy to drink. A very tasty American Pale Lager. I sure hope that they can ‘up’ the production of this beer!

A description of this beer from the Bell’s website:

“Quinannan Falls possesses the crisp, dry bitterness you'd expect from a German pilsner, but the use of highly aromatic hops from the Pacific Northwest in both the kettle & dry-hop evokes the fragrant pine forests that inspired this beer.”

    Cheers!

Wouldnt trippelweizenbock be an ale? Most weizenbocks are made with hefe yeast, hence an ale.

It's not just the beer itself. The atmosphere of the Zoigl Stube is a big part of the enjoyment. Some of the best pubs I've ever been in. Just magic.

Since when has Dead Guy Ale been a lager?

Vitus? Is it a lager strain?

If I'm not mistaken, it's 'officially' a maibock, or at least categorized that way. It's won WBC medals as a maibock lager.

WBC as in "World Beer Championship", not "World Beer Cup".

Rogue lists it as Dead Guy Ale, and it is an ale brewery making an attempt at a lager. The malt and hops profile is somewhat to style, the fermentation esters are not.

The name is a bit misleading if you focus on the Weizenbock.. It is a Dopplebock that is brewed with wheat and is most certainly a lager, I have discussed this at the brewery a few times.

You should take a couple days and travel down to Naperweird for a pint on the 23rd.

    Cheers!

IMO, Boston Beer Co's biggest mistake is not bringing this beer back once a year ...

That beer is spectacular! If it was in six packs, it would do remarkably well in Indiana.
