Was recently at bottle shop in NJ and they just so happened to have one 4 pack of Devil Dancer and 1 bottle of Founder's FMB left. They also had one bottle of Black Ops left and one Rogue Voodoo Dough Bacon Maple (wanted it to share at a tasting and couldn't find it anywhere in PA).

Just bought a 4pk of '11 BCS at the same place I found the 09 bomber.

Anyone remember what a 4pk cost when they were released?

Went to my local liquor store, picked up some two hearted and the guy in front of me had about 10 bombers of stone and I asked what he got, to my surprise a bunch of stone vintages. So I immediately went back and got three 2009 old guardians and two bottles of 08-08-08 vertical epic. They where all priced at 5.99 a bottle. Pretty cool day.

Got to talking with a really great guy while on our brew trip through Michigan. We started talking about bourbon and ended up talking about Founders and then KBS. After a little while I mentioned Nemesis and he then led me down to the cellar and pulled out a bottle of 2010 Nemesis from a box! He sold it to me, and I was grateful!

One of the owners of a bistro here in Houston got their hands on case of '10 Abyss. Somehow, they still have it on their menu!

4 pack of Gandhi Bot at my go-to store last night. I have never seen it in RI (not to say it hasn't been here before, perhaps it has). I was stoked!

Got a six pack of Batch 9K at a run down liquor store in Wixom, MI about 2 years ago, it was gathering dust on the shelf.

Went into a local whole foods during lunch a few weeks ago, check out the beer section and notice a row of 4D just sitting on the shelf.

Also hit up a local liquor store around the same time, look on the shelf of singles.....just sitting there were about 10 KBS. I grab about 4 or 5 of them, pay for them at the counter, cashier says "oh I think there are a few more of these behind those empty six packs down there too", look behind them, and see another 2 4 packs of KBS.

Last year I was at my local shop in Milan and found a Blabaer on the shelf (long story behind, but in short I ended up with a 375ml Blabaer for 10 euros). A few weeks later, while leaving a small pub in the country side, I spotted something familiar behind the counter: two minutes later I was walking out the door with a Kaggen in my hands (10 euros again). I guess I should stop chasing whales and just wait to come across them.

Usually I don't have much to add to these threads, but recently I found a few that I thought were noteworthy: I bought a 4-pack of Goose Island Christmas Ale for $3.24 and another local store has Goose Island Sofie, Matilda, and Pere Jacques for $4.39 a bomber (haven't bought any though).

One time I was at a bar and asked the bar tender if hopslam had come out yet because I hadn't seen it at the liqour store earlier that day and the forums were abuzz with its release. He told me it had been out for a few weeks and the stores were all sold out. Then he smiled, reached into the cooler, and pulled out a bottle. Turns out the bar had gotten 1 sixer and was keeping it as a secret stash for some of the more loyal customers. Luckily for me I go there every week.

How about a case of Cantillon Classic Gueuze 375's, no bottle limits? That was a good one.

A couple months ago I found some DFH Raison D'Extra and 120 minute from 2007 for $8 a piece. I was pretty excited.

Walked into a bar today that had cantillon gueuze on the menu; walked out with two bottles. It is sad that this seems like a big deal, but it is not easy to find nowadays.

I found two bottles of Nebraska's Black Betty at the Total Wine in Thousand Oaks, CA. I don't know how easy it is/was to come by when it was first released, but I had never seen any make it to SoCal. The other close second was a few bottles of Parabola at my local Whole Foods. I picked up two and left the third for the next person to try.
