Grisette batch #2. Classic belgian farmhouse yeast characteristics with a nice blend of brett and wine barrel added in. Lovin' this place!

Ranco single stage (ETC-111) works great for my fermentation heat wraps, and I hear that they work just as well for refrigeration equipment. Get two stage (ETC-211) if you're fermenting in there and want a heat wrap hooked up too.

www.hvacpw.com is where I got mine, they were the cheapest around when I was buying a year ago. You have to hook up an extension cord on your own, but it's significantly less costly than going through a homebrew retailer to get a pre-wired one.

edit: The ETC-111 is about $50 + $15 for an extension cord, right in your budget. If you need the dual stage it's worth it, but will cost about double that.

    LIF time!

This will be a multi-part LIF with the person scoring the most points winning a box of very good Florida brews.

A local brewery is releasing some leftover beers tomorrow. Unfortunately I have to work, and I am on call, so at any moment I may be called back to the hospital. Answer me the following questions:

    1. What beer am I going to stand in line to buy?
    2. How many bottles of this beer will I purchase?
    3. Will a bottle of this beer be included in the winning LIF box?
    4. How long, in minutes, will I wait in line to buy these bottles. I will time from when I get out of my car, until I have all the bottles in my possession.

    Good luck everyone!

Thanks man! I'll probably just go with the 211 just in case I need it.

If you are even a little bit handy, buying an STC-1000 is the way to go. I have a number of them and they work great. You can hard wire them inline, or mount them in a project box with an outlet. They are dual temp controllers, so they can have one setpoint for cooling and one for heat.

@KnowYourCraft I'd take whatever @ThreeFishes says WAY before whatever I came up with.

Look no further. Need nothing but to plug it in the wall and your frezeer or fridge into it. Digital and the probe can be submerged. I use one for a keezer and like it better then the ranco I use for my fermentation freezer.

Indeed the easy way. More expensive but easy as hell. Mine has been a rock for several years. Don't even touch it.
