I hope they bottle some of those soon, they sound delicious. I'm trying to go, but don't know if I'll make it.

The next barrel-aged release has been announced: BA Smoke Chaser and BA Midnight Lightning on March 28 at 1pm.

    https://www.facebook.com/events/788324351258511/

I know one person who got to try the BA ML already, and said it was fantastic. I think Smoke Chaser might be a good candidate for barrel-aging, so I'm looking forward to tasting both!

Also, is there a way to change the thread title? This has become a general Tioga-Sequoia discussion, and I don't think it's worth starting a new thread for every bit of news.

Me too, I have really enjoyed their IPAs and stouts! Amador County digs Tioga-Sequoia.

The Facebook page has been updated. Take note, they're now opening at 12pm.

Also releasing 24 bottles of BA Vanilla Bean Midnight Lightning, 1 per person, so get there early if you want it. It will be on draft in case you miss out though.

I'm also really looking forward to the Cookies n' Cream Milk Stout for draft/growlers, since they've had so much success with the style.

For those that went to the last release, how long was the line at opening? Will there be 100 in line by say 11?

At opening at 12, the line was pretty damn long. Took like an hour for me to get bottles and I wasn't even near the end. I heard the line wasn't bad at 11, but if their FresYes fest and last bottle release were any indication, it's likely to be smashed. I was looking forward to this release, but I'll be on my way up to Portland so I won't be able to make it.

Steve, We opened at 11am last time. The line started forming by 9:30am. It was about 150ppl deep before we opened. Because there was limited beers and changes in limits after 80, we had to regulate people entering the barrel room to purchase 10-12 at a time.

We had a lot more build up and promotions for the last one, mainly because of Rush Hour being a popular brand for us. I really have no clue how the crowd will be for this one, but my honest opinion, BAMNL is the SVJ's Bourbon County. Smoke Chaser is a totally different beer out of the barrel as well. Less smoke, more bourbon and vanilla characteristics.

We open at 12pm this time. I would say arrive by 10:30. If there is no line, grab a bite to eat at the Breakfast Hut around the corner and circle back. I know a few people did that for the last release that showed up just before 9am.

Another bottle release this weekend. I like to see that they are working hard to get more beers out. Why so late with the release, 5pm? Why not when they open?

I think they're opening at 4:30 for Catacomb Party, and staying open until 2 am. Each Catacomb Brew in the past has hit distro, so I wouldn't worry too much about it, unless you want some of the new Apricot bottles. The last Catacomb Party was a lot of fun, despite awful heat, so I'd recommend checking it out. I've seen Dan Deacon a number of times in Baltimore, and he puts on a fantastic show. I'm also looking forward to How to Dress Well and Joyce Manor.

I like TS.. Got a six pack of Gen. Sherman IPA in the fridge right now. I'll stop by their taproom in a couple of weeks when I'm in town. Been hearing good things about Pendragon as well.

Definitely make sure to hit Pendragon. Outstanding beers, especially their IPAs.

Heading up to Fresno/Clovis beginning of next month and I'm planning on stopping off at TS. Does anyone know if you can buy bottles of their stouts (barrel aged or otherwise) at the brewery for take home? Or, does anyone know off-site locations that I can buy some? Really liked the regular Rush Hour and would like to get my hands on some Midnight Rush or Midnight Lightening to take home with me as well.

    @thebeerprophet ?

There's a bottle fridge at the brewery, which currently has Rush Hour and Midnight Lightning. I would guess that ML will still be available at the brewery and in stores (SaveMart, BevMo, locals) while Rush Hour could be iffy - it's been gone at most stores for awhile. The barrel-aged stouts have been sold out at the brewery since their respective release dates. Very limited amounts of BA ML is hitting stores this week, but I don't think they'll last more than a few days. Das Bierhaus, if they get any, would be the only one that could still have them, because of their ridiculous bottle mark-ups. The brewery has occasional flash sales of their limited stuff, but you'd have to get lucky - check their Facebook. Growlers are available to go as well.
